Stefano, if you could recognise me and Charlie Fairhead (chelston), why didn't you say hello? we don't bite, much ;D You weren't within speaking distance and when I looked around at half time you had disappeared into thin air (along with the rest of the crowd in that section who all arrived together and then all left together at half time). Strange! I had to use the facilities during half time due to advancing years and then changed position in the second half. Didn't speak to Aussie either as he was also too far away but his inch perfect passing of the ball out of the six yard box was a sign of things to come from the Gulls yesterday afternoon! I will speak next time now that you have 100% confirmed identity having seen my description of the area of the ground I was in when I saw you. I was only going from memory on photos I have seen on here, and there is nothing wierder than being approached by some random old stranger and addressed by a pseudonym!! (and especially if you are not the right person!!!) ;D

I am a bit strange in that I do not have a favourite position which I just have to be in every week (I have even been asked to move before on the Popside terrace as I was in somebody's place!!). I am just as likely to be found in the enclosure on the other side or the Family Stand (but never the main stand, not old enough for that yet!) ;D

Late post on this one but due to returning home from the holiday on sunday and then having a whole host of "normal" stuff to do.
Anyway, an enjoyable week in the bay for me, the wife and kids (including club shop spending spree kitting the boys out in strips, and some stuff for me!) was topped off superbly when the family was treated to a top show at Plainmoor.
That early goal caught most by surprise, I was expecting a much longer wait for the first goal, but extra delight as we were sat in direct line of Dannys shot from the Family Stand as it flew in. Goalie obviously didn't expect to be moving that early either!
We didn't understand their players sending off until watching on telly that night, but were still grateful for it. Afraid my eldest was partially responsible for Nicky fluffing it. "He could always do what Joe Cole did..." Thanks mate! Terrible pen though.
The display was first rate, with the some of the most consistent passing possession i've seen from the Gulls. Even when a misplaced pass was made, the workrate to recover and regain was impressive. The second half brought pretty much more of the same, but included a tame mini-revival from the Bantams which never threatened. Was pleased for Zebs when his reward for a good game finally came, and other extra praise goes to Danny, Robertson, Nico and Branston.
Clean sheet record is utterly outstanding. I am so proud of this clubs efforts, all staff and players from top to bottom deserve the highest praise imo.
A thoroughly enjoyable game/day all round. On a personal note the only downside was not being able to meet up with Longeaton et al on the day. Twas a shame indeed.
Will make my way to Vale on saturday with a spring in my step, and (maybe worringly) an increasing confidence.

wigstongull68, better late than never as they say and so glad you enjoyed your time down here and got to see a fine game and result.
Also sorry you did not get to see the TFF Guy Branston lookalike, he came and found me to have a chat and that chelstongull was there as well, I made the mistake of introducing longeaton to chelston and that was the last I saw of him until halftime when he walked past me with his new friend chelston with Jon in tow.
