Lovely stuff - Benyon signs-off with his last appearance for the Gulls? We shoud be at least 27 goals up tonight, although I'll grudgingly take 3-1. As for Rendell? Sounds like he isn't quite the same player that was on-fire for us last season.

It sounded on the radio that we played simply brilliantly and maybe should have won by an even bigger score line. All the players seem to have been at their top of their game and given everything to ensure it was them who would be on the winning side.
Great support from our travelling fans who have sung their hearts out the whole game, even when we went behind to an early goal. What the players need to do now is play as well at Plainmoor as they have in their last two away games.
A performance like this one at home will get fans coming back for more.

A great win and for once it was us that got the late goal. Firmly looking up the table now and should go into the Walsall match full of confidence.

Sounded as an excellent footballing performance from the team tonight!
Well done to the lads, and of course the vocal away support also played their part! A very good game against one of the top teams in L2.
Up to sixth in the league now and this must breed confidence for the game this Saturday against Walsall! Hopefully a decent crowd at Plainmoor for this one...

Very proud of the boys tonight. A fantastic win at a very hard ground to go and play at...i'm even more annoyed I couldn't make it now! If that's to be Benners last game for us, then thanks for the memories and what a fantastic servant. But I think the guys got a sensible head on his shoulders, and for that amount of money and considering the possible clubs rumoured, i reckon he might stick around.
Onwards and upwards!

from the commentary it sounded like we could and should of scored 7 or 8 tonight,if anyone doubts we are not building or ready to go for promotion this one result alone shows the slow but steady building PB and the board are doing, for our next escapade

Great performance all round - great passing, making use of the wide pitch but getting stuck in when necessary. We had most of the early exchanges but fell behind to a 'goal over the line' given by the linesman. A messy goal and soons after a speculative long shot from one of their better players nearly brought them a second. It was over the bar - and Bevan did have it covered, but a good effort...
However, we carried on passing and probing - and Nicky Wroe took his two goals well (The second a well placed shot after a good run - he then watched the big screen replay...) and we deservedly were in front. Battles between Benyon and their number five continued - but our number nine got the last laugh but also was well on top overall. A strong performance.
Second half we really DID have about eight good chances. Benyon put one away fortunately, and we played the ball around to see the game out. Highlights? Many many good competent performances - but a good win from a side playing entertaining, controlled football. welldone Paul Buckle. I listened to the local radio afterwards - and Gary W their manager was very, very impressed by our performance....
Great support - my day slightly tarnished by learning of my prediction league relegation, compounded by Longeaton (probably still in the car park queue....) AND Wigston maybe winning their leagues.....congratulations!

On train back to London after a terrific performance from United.
I anticipated a good game tonight, and although it was disappointing to concede the early goal - caused by a Mansell slip - we never looked like coming away from this empty handed. Wycombe looked threatening at times with pace, and our defence doesn't look as assured as it did early on in the season, but our midfield dominated play throughout. In many ways the game resembled the game away at Aldershot last season. We never looked like losing there either.
I have been frustrated with Wroe at times, who has sometimes appeared reluctant to get stuck in. He was imperious tonight however. Spraying the ball around, linking play, key tackles and interceptions, two fantastic goals, and that terrific quality he has when he's on his game of making time for himself was all there tonight. Let's hope he can keep that level of performance up for us this season.
Other stand out performances for me were Zebs and in particular O Kane. The latter seems to improve with every game and he's got that confidence that comes with regular starts. With Wroe, Zebs and O Kane on fire tonight it was reminicent of Leroy's team when we saw of Chrltenham on the promotion run in.
Great to see Benyon get the third, albeit aided by some ridiculous defending from their centre half, and his celebrations - for which he was booked - indicates that he knows he's probably off.
Superb noise from the Yellow Army throughout, as always seems to be the case when we play at Adams Park. For me the evening was rounded off a couple of pints in the pub opposite the railway station - a gem of a place - after a bit of a ballache of a walk back from the ground. 6th in the table after a performance like that - tuesday evenings don't get any better than that!

So we only scored three.
Sort it out Buckle!
Can anyone give more detail on the formation? Was O'Kane central in a 3, with Zebs and Hemmings playing wide off Benyon?

Well it was a pleasure to listen to the game it sounded like we were going to score everytime we went forward. My two sons who were at the game confirmed that it was a fantastic peformance and we could quite easily have scored 10!! - astonishing.
