I'd definitely take a draw now but it doesn't look likely at the moment - we might have lost 2 and 3 goal leads there over the years but after one big journey in the week already and another one on Friday it's no surprise if the lads are looking off the pace. As long as we can keep the score down to two and get through without any injuries or bookings to those players approaching a suspension then that will do. Roll-on Tuesday.

Mmmm, first 20 minutes I thought we looked the better side and didn't think Macclesfield were that good. How wrong could I be as they battered us for the next 20 minutes, fully deserved their 2 goals and could have had 2 more.
Their  first chance came from a Nicholson throw, straight to their player, he played someone through who crossed the ball past bevan leaving a near open goal for their guy but fortunately Robertson got in a last ditch tackle.

We didn't heed the warning as 2 minutes later we backed off they had a shot that hit the post, with Bevan beaten, then rebounded across goal. From that it was crossed to the back post where Branston headed out for a corner. From the resultant corner their big centre forward out jumped everyone to head in their first.

To be fair their second was well taken, even if our marking was appalling. A cross from the left was volleyed in from 12 yards by a completely unmarked Macclesfield player.

They also had a couple more good chances as we fell apart for 15/20 minutes.

We had a couple of half chances but nothing to write about.

Not winning the midfield battle, even with 5 in there. Would imagine a change at half time will be made as we really need to get back into this game quickly.

Players been sent back out after only 5 minutes, so imagine they have had a rocket up their arses.

Massive hill to climb from here so let's hope for another Buryesque comeback.
