As Mansell has said to Stanley on twitter, "you going hotel thurs or meeting us fri " I think it is safe to say that lessons have been well and truely learnt and they are not travelling on Friday. Just imagine the sky coverage with the Torquay bus stuck on the M5! ;D

Again, any London-based Gulls have a pub to recommend for this one? I have a Sky TV location at a mate's place to watch the game but always good to know if there'll be a collective of Gulls somewhere on Friday night.

Where's everyone watching the match on TV this Friday. Haywain not showing it - best other place that's close? how sad a torquay pub not showing it,any reason chelstongull? Could have something to do with Sky wanting £ 16,000 a year subscription, any idea how many pints you have to pull to cover that?

just read some daft comments on the HE site. Talk of not wanting promotion due to finacial reasons.
I really cannot understand any Gulls fan who does not want the opportunity to sample the feeling of watching win at OT.
You have to grasp every season, the players and manager may not be there next.
The fond memories of the Blackpool & cambs victories still linger and make the low times of following the Gulls so much easier to handle.
Good luck to all the players and PB for Fri nite.
but whatever the outcome, well done, I`m proud once again to say I follow the Gulls.

Hi all I am really looking forward to this one ..... I will be donning my TUFC shirt tomorrow morning and proudly wearing it at work Will get back into Torquay after work........ and be heading for the Albert Bar which is my fave place to watch Prem games The Albert Bar is part of the Derwent Hotel on Belgrave road, it has a great mix of locals and Grockels...... has a decent big screen and many large HD tellys all over the place and plenty of good seating and nice big comfy sofas and stuff I normally get my regular spot to the left of the Bar, where the aforementioned comfy sofas are Not sure weather they have real Ales but I'm sure they have Bays at least and the grub is good too I'll be there early and my stepdad will be joining me as well Other good spots around the Bay would have to be The Bull (where my mate Drakey will be) and The Prince in Barton (if it's still open) Enjoy

I believe that we've sold around the same number of tickets as Shrewsbury did for the first leg. I can only hope that we make more noise than they did!
No surprise that Sharps appears to be available tomorrow - I think that it was a case of mind games from Turner that he wouldn't be available. I recall Blackpool talked-down the chances of David Bamber being available for the play-off final 20 years ago - perhaps it was just as well he did play! It's all about our players though - it is in their hands and given that they have experience of the "big games" over the last few years then hopefully they've experienced enough of the highs to make them hungry for more success and also recognise what happens if the match ends on a real low.
I agree Milber, what's the point in being in existence if we don't go for promotion? We're probably just as likely to be scrapping against relegation to the BSP if we stay-down and the driving-force behind out on-pitch fortunes over the last 4 years depart! Maybe the board are daunted about potential promotion to League One - after all, the club are still very poor in administration terms and attendances have been terrible - the knock-on effect of that is that we are probably struggling to stay afloat just paying the current wage bill. I still think that they would like to see us go up, however it might appear otherwise to some.

In addition to Sharp it looks like Raven will now also be fit to take his place at right back instead of Grandison, which is a bit of a shame really. However, it could be to our advantage if either break down and have to bring on another defender when they are chasing the game. I am looking forwards to tomorrow night now with this extended half time break starting to get on my nerves. Looks like certain Torquay pubs will be doing a roaring trade tomorrow evening. No reports of the team getting waylaid anyway so should be up there now and ready to roll. COYY
