Correct, Stefano!
2-1 half-time. Good old-fashioned stuff.
Could go either way or neither.
Getting cold and dark.

Guiseley v Barrow: 2-2. Excellent. 1,600 crowd. Half-a-mind elsewhere for the last few minutes but probably the best cup tie any of us will see today I'm afraid.

Sitting in a pub in Glossop, Wildebeeste, with a mutual friend of ours.
Oddly enough we were only discussing this ground within the last hour.
Give us an I?

And the rest..... Only one half of the ground actually lies inside its home town according to this sign: There's a cracking Derbyshire derby in prospect this weekend:

I'm so sorry that I did not have time to pop in to see you guys for a cuppa today.
I left home at 5am for a meeting in Brighouse but thanks to a smash on the M62, it took considerably longer than usual to get there.
I nodded respectfully as i passed Chesterfield and Sheffield, thinking of absent friends. Ah, maybe next time

OK. No more easy stuff. Which Midland team played on this not very welcoming plot and when did they take up their goods and chattels cross the road to their new home? And you will need to be exact with your answer because as this photo illustrates... ...they like things to be precise around these parts.

I have, yeah. Damn it, Barton, that was supposed to be difficult. You could at least pretend. Next time, no more Mr Nice Guy!

And this is how I did it......
Typed "899 yards no overtaking" into a search engine.
Map and comment came up on a cycling website.

Map and comment came up on a cycling website. ..in which case you still needed to use those infallible detective skills because the No Overtaking for 899 Yards sign is over the border in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. I take my hat off to you. old chap. And now I am returning to my farewell to Chesterfield party. Next time you see me I shall have one hell of a hangover.....

One for Wildebeeste - sorry Felix - or anybody else who may recognise the location. Look closely for a possible clue:
