This has turned into an absolute crucial match. Lose and we drop into the relegation zone for the first time this season and we will both need to win on Saturday and for results to go elsewhere for us to get out of jail free. A draw would probably see us needing a win on Saturday to stay up, a win against Taunton, would almost certainly see us safe regardless of what we do on Saturday. Hard to believe it has come to this but the on the pitch failure this season has only been trumped by the failure off it.

Heavy rain in Taunton today but dry and sunny tomorrow.
A possibility we might play this in Taunton after all, but check before travelling as you may need to head to Exeter or Hungerford or Timbuktu.
To simplify, a win puts us safe whatever happens, a draw keeps our fate in our own hands but defeat would leave us looking for favours elsewhere.
It is unbelievable that mismanagement on and off the pitch has put is in this situation.
Our fans have been amazing through the last two desperate years. 712 of us at Bath and 1,000 away tickets sold out already for tomorrow. One bright spot amongst the utter incompetence is that our fans have been tested to the limit and responded brilliantly.
It does give hope for the future under ownership which sees our supporters as an asset not a liability.
I cannot wait for this dreadful season to end but hope that we will be able to look back on it as a turning point. They say that it is always darkest just before the dawn.

Where others may choose to do nothing and snipe, and where administrative errors on a poor CEO’s watch compound an already awful season, supporters have very much stepped up to the plate when needed and most certainly since the end of February. Hopefully some tired Taunton legs and a performance more akin to last Monday than Saturday just gone might do the trick tomorrow and allow us to prepare for a new and better chapter in our history than this current sorry one.

I shall certainly keep telling myself that tomorrow night anyway. An astonishing season for all the wrong reasons !

One of the most important games in the club’s history. Most of us are still struggling to believe that we are on the verge of relegation from National League South. To make that a real possibility for a club of our size would take monumental incompetence from the football management supported by a monumental incompetence on the administrative side. But the cosy sofa bunch have delivered both in spades. Programme from the original fixture shows us in second place in the table, although many of us felt we had been incredibly lucky to be there - showing how poor the league was and how much we had ridden our luck time and again. Optimists said if we can be in second place playing badly, anything is possible when we start playing well. Pessimists said that this poor team was bound to get found out as the luck could not last. tauntontown.com/programme/23_12_19_Torquay.pdfWe will need a stronger bench than Saturday. Need at least three of the walking wounded to have recovered. Dawson and Jarvis would obviously strengthen the team significantly although neither will last ninety minutes. If they are available to start I would bring them in for McGavin and Stobbs and bring Booth in for Tomlinson. Would be nice to have Ofori-Acheampong (or at least Collins) as a striker option on the bench for when Jarvis runs out of steam. Don’t think Martin brings much to the party to be honest. Looking like the Taunton pitch might actually be playable, but expect it to be soft to boggy. Let’s hope we can win to put this miserable season to bed so we can have a stress free Saturday.

Most of the tables I have seen, have TUFC on 48 points, assume the point has been deducted?
Hopefully me not being there tonight we have a better chance of 3 points 😀

Most of the tables are wrong, even the BBC. Just shows how much interest they really have in this level of football! ⚽️

A sign of the times sadly Stefano. As far as tonights vital game goes I honestly don't think we have enough of anything, tactical nouse, ability, threat or fight to win this. If we lose this one and get relegated on Saturday afternoon i hate to think how toxic the atmospheres will be at 4.45 on the 20th.😒 Pointless berating players that are simply not good enough that should be reserved for the ones that left us in this state, Osbourne and the Johnson brothers all in it for what they could claw out of the club and now vanished into thin air. Now the information embargo has been slightly lifted I reckon tit bits of information will begin to emerge of what really went on behind the scenes and over their time here - probably make your hair stand on end.

Oh dear. Was hoping for a stronger bench and the return of Jarvis. Impossible to be optimistic looking at that team sheet.

Same starting eleven. Collins replaces Wellington on four man bench. No Jarvis, Dawson, Ofori-Acheampong or Martin.

Stobbs atrocious on the ploughed field left side. Archer seems to have a free role and looks calm and intelligent the ball. Evveryone pressing and working hard as we hoped Cant breath just yet although we look largely in control one slip up can let them back on it and we've done that numerous times.
