SAFE!!
Yes we can be overtaken by Taunton, but only if they beat Hemel on the last day of the season.

Let's be honest...it was never going to be easy.

SAFE!! Yes we can be overtaken by Taunton, but only if they beat Hemel on the last day of the season. Doesn’t our goal difference mean we are safe, unless they win in double figures and some? It doesn't matter. If they beat Hemel, then Hemel will remain below us. To overtake us, Hemel have to win their final game away at Taunton; and if they win, then Taunton can't overtake us.

Highlights are up
Great to hear the Plainmoor roar three times but why cut across the ending scenes? After the season we've all endured I wanted to wallow in the released tension and joy for a few moments more.

How on earth did Taunton miss that sitter near the end.
On another day…

How on earth did Taunton miss that sitter near the end. On another day… Just don't go there, we've had enough anguish this season.

What a game Archer had-seemed to be at the heart of all our best moves.
Far from the finished product but looking a good prospect.

I enjoyed the game even though having to watch from a home terrace. Lots of alchohol being served in a relaxed atmosphere and even noticed two or three people having a quiet cigarette on the open terrace. Just shows how differently these clubs can enable the match day experience despite playing at the same level.

How on earth did Taunton miss that sitter near the end. Just imagine if that had gone in, as it should have done, and there was no further scoring. We would now have 48 points and be in 20th. Taunton would have 46 points and be in 21st. They would still need to beat Hemel today to overtake us, but that would mean we would need a draw to day to stay up. The stress!! Of course, there are situations like the Taunton miss in almost every match and they all add up in various ways to create the table at the end of the season. But small margins and all that...

Agree Pete. That is football. Most matches could have gone either way with a couple of key breaks or decisions reversed.
That is why Johnson’s excuses culture was so stomach churning. Never accepting a defeat and moaning that if the ref had disallowed three of their goals and given us a penalty we would have won. So no need for us to change anything because nothing is ever wrong with how I set the team up - it is all the ref’s fault.
Johnson never whinged about all the games we were so lucky to scrape wins in.
