Blimey! The hand-written change of no 4 to Steve Hayes had me reaching for the Rothmans to double-check. Legend has it that Hayes' first spell at TUFC consisted of a single shocking performance in a 0-6 defeat at Crewe. It later emerged that he had been out on the lash in Shrewsbury on the night before the game with an individual whose name I shall not reveal but who now resides beyond the Penn Inn roundabout. Thankfully, the hand-written grid update confirms the commonly accepted history that Kevin Lane wore the no 4 shirt in this game. Phew. One less amendment for the "Fully revised and Updated Official History of TUFC".

Lincoln's 4 goals against Chesterfield, as mentioned in the divisional round up, were all scored by Bristol Rovers' new manager John Ward, which ties up neatly with another current TFF thread.
How cosmic is that, man?
