It is a bit of an embarrassment to have to announce this weeks winner, as I'm not supposed to win it. I am a very open person, 100% honest and very genuine and while I have had a very hard life and so many things to deal with, I have never let anything thing that has happened to me, change who I am and the person I want to be.
The post that won It for me was the one I made on Wednesday and that day was such a hard day for me. I had got a text early in the morning telling me that Chris Todd had got leukemia and my mind was soon going back to the day I found out Carol had got cancer.
I relived everyday since that day and the thought of how brave this dear lady has been and what she has had to put up with, became too much for me. Why radio 2 could not have had some glam rock on, or party music I do not know, but every song seemed to be the very sad ones, just like we have all listened too, when our girlfriends chucked us, when we were young.
I was unable to keep myself together, but then I have never been afraid to cry If I need too, just had to get those eyes dry as I arrived at calls I needed to make. I was once asked if there was a record that could best describe me, well there is a song, that while the words do not really fit, the title of the song, is one I feel does describe me best.
The song is an old song and was sung by Smokey Robertson and the song is called
the tears of a clown
For I am a clown and make people laugh its what I do best, but hidden behind the clowns face Is a man who has cried many tears, but is not sorry what has happened in his life, but is glad that he has been able to learn from it all and become a better person for it.
