Apologies that I can't do a full preview for this but I'm currently working from a rather loud Planet Ice Arena here in Coventry covering the Warwick/Coventry Varsity ice hockey opener
The basics - Wycombe's form has dipped after a revival following the appointment of Gareth Ainsworth as full-time player-manager. They are currently on a 3-match losing streak, itself following a 5-match unbeaten run
Amazingly we've only ever played 10 competitive matches against Wycombe. It's currently 3 wins apiece (3-2 Torquay in league wins), with 4 draws. Torquay's first win over the Chairboys came in 2006 at Adams Park, followed by a home win the following season and a third in Buckinghamshire in 2010. This season's only match-up was a 2-1 Wycombe win, with Gary Doherty and Josh Scowen scoring for the home side (both are set to return to the squad for this one) and Rene Howe scoring for us

The new manager has a harsh new regime for his players on matchday. Let's hope it works...

Thanks James, I've had my hands full the past week as well!
Probably worth mentioning that under 16s are free for this one although primary school age children need to be accompanyed by an adult...
I saw enough on Saturday to think we will get something from this one and getting a goal from open play will (as usual) be the key.... UTGs

Will we get anything out of this match...I doubt it! We still have a forward line who couldn't hit a cow in the c**t with a musket! Wycombe's position is not a great deal brighter than ours, but a point will be fine for them. The preverbial bus will be parked. I suppose we can expect them to score late on via a deflection off someones arse!

I like this guy. Two attacking wingers, two attacking forwards and two attacking full backs. How many did Ling have attacking...mmm one! It's something like Occums Razor-without all the fancy words. Keep it simple...I still remember Bruce Stukey ( and you can't get any simpler than that) bombing down the right wing and knocking it into the box...if he didn't fall over his own feet that is!

The man to watch out for is Dean Morgan. Having had the pleasure (and the pain) of following a side with him in it for 18 months or so I know that he is a richly talented striker/left winger but with a suspect temperament and an addiction to Twitter. If he is in the mood he could give young Danny Leadbitter another roasting to follow the one he received from Ashley Vincent on Saturday; on the other hand he may just prat around looking for an argument. Let's hope it's a cold evening and he has the hump with his team mates, and then we should be OK.
Looking forward to the game regardless.

In my end of season points prediction I have this one down as a draw, I´ll keep to that, 1-1.

Just one more thing to say about tonight, and it is a serious point. I don't want to come back to my lodgings after the game and read the opinions of people who haven't been to the game but listened to it on the radio or looked at the BBC's possession statistics instead.
If you don't live in South Devon you are excused, but if you are from Torbay or Newton Abbot please get off you arse and turn up to see the team when they need you so badly. The board has done its best to provide you with a Football League club; the rest is up to you. If you care enough you will be there this evening. It's only £17 to stand up or £20 to sit down, no-one is forcing you to buy a programme and you can bring a nipper along for nothing. If I can come over 250 miles to watch this club when they are in trouble then you can get a bus from Paignton or Ipplepen or wherever you live.
If that's too much for you then at least have the grace to shut up should your club lose its League status.

How refreshing to read the managers ideas on how the game should be played and what he sees as as system that will at least look more pleasing on the eye and hopefully reap its rewards. (On the club website) Alan Knill is certainly making the right noises.
The key for me is that the eleven he sends out must know their roles to the letter and most importantly play without fear so we all must play our part in that. Any sort of result in our favor would be welcome. I'm so peed off looking at the league table stuck on 37 points for weeks and weeks. Strange also that our only points (4) from the last ten games have come from our nearest neighbours. I think I rather like Exeter City....well this season anyway. Good luck guys its about time we got this show back on the road.

Don't be fooled by the score. We were individually & collectively clueless. Took ten minutes to get in their half & only improved marginally later on. Nice bit of Bodin magic to set up the goal was the only highlight worth mentioning.
The bloke next to me said the radio announced that Torquay were winning 1-0. I don't believe that!

Nothing to add or say its all been said on here - other than the trap door is well and truly open and sucking us in but none of us need to be told that do we? Oh yes and nobody is to blame it just happened by itself.

Have to admit to being mystified by Knills choice of sub for Easton - Oastler? Surely Craig was the best man for the job. Still, what the feck do I know
