Got to Stokes ground and nobody was there  it seems Axminster could not get a side together, not to worry happy to listen to our game, it seems we have made a nice bright start. |

After a bright start it very much sounded as if Morecambe were coming more into the game. But after a sending off and a very poor mistake by Roche their keeper, we took the lead. A back pass was played to Roche who seemed could not make up his mind to either put his foot through the ball or block it with his foot, he did neither and the ball rolled under his foot and over the line.
A lucky goal for us but hey are we not due some luck this season? Great support from the gulls (257 official figures) at the match who are coming over very loud and clear on the radio. This is in our own hands and we have a great chance now of ensuring our safety, lets hope we are able to take this chance.
Lots and lots of hard work required now in the second half, come on you yellows.
Dave Thomas’s thoughts at half time were that while we are in front we have not played all that well, he feels we need to get a second goal and as long as it stays at one nil to us, Morecambe will always feel they are in with a chance even with ten men.
Lets hope Mr Knil can work some halftime magic on the players and get that bit more out of them in the second half.

As things stand, we would be safe going into next week's match - COYY and Gillingham!

Not liking the sound of this second half so far, we seem far to content to try and hold onto our lead, they nearly got a goal back after we failed to clear and a shot that had Poke beaten butthe ball hit the inside of the post and some how stayed out. We need to take the game to them as we have the extra man
