Unbeaten through pre-season. Only conceded 1 goal. So when does reality set in?

Nice one Phil, not the sort of line up that is going to strike fear into the average league 2 defender! Scoreless at half time by the way. What's new on the two forwards required?

Does anyone know the full name of the centre back they used today and most importantly was he any good?

Jack Deaman played the first half. Supergulls has said elsewhere that Pearce replaced him at half time

No news on this mystery striker as far as I'm aware. The way things are going will probably end up signing just before the transfer window deadline. Benyon yet to find the net this season.

Pearce wasn't due to play today and wasn't on the team sheet but replaced deamon at half time. I don't see us signing both I think deamon has been brought in on trial just in case the Pearce deal falls through, I don't see our budget stretching to both. The lad dale was a youth team goalie who was replacing Thompson who was on international duty

Edit: I see from the report on dot com that Pearce has now agreed personal terms with the club so looks like that this will happen. Deaman plays at right back as well so would be ideal cover.

We have already got Jake Hutchings who can play in both of those posititions and kirtys for cover at center back I think it will be money wasted that could be spent on a decent forward.

Although it is always a question of finance and priorities, I think two youngsters with one league start between them to cover three first team players is cutting it a bit fine, even for us....

If that's the case jake Hutchings and kirtys Mackenzie have 1 more appearance between them than jack deaman who is yet to make his debut. So hardly lots of experience in that department
