Is that really the same N.A.D'Amato listed as a director in both the 1931 and 1971 Fulham programmes? By the latter date he must have been even older than the chairman's jokes. Or did he retain his place on the board because he was old enough to remember a time when Tommy Trinder may have been vaguely amusing? Without his presence it's possible nobody believed that TT had ever been a comedian.
