This is a lovely old programme. Of course it is. And there’s a warm welcome extended to Fulham’s new secretary/manager. Or “The Pilot” to use another description. But then it’s rather rich of the Baker’s Man to remind Mr McIntyre that he hails from the “bleak, black Staffordshire Midlands”. Good grief, I hope Fulham’s more recent managers have been afforded a more enlightened view of the world. And what’s this nonsense about it being “no earthly use providing provincial entertainment for a metropolitan audience”. What a load of bollocks. Again it reminds me of the old nonsense about northern teams playing “industrial football”. And as for those from the South West? No doubt their football was “agricultural”.
“Watch for big things at Craven Cottage next season!”
Well, yes, Fulham won Division 3 (South) in 1931/32 and didn’t return to that level until we encountered them in the late 1960s. And, when Fulham plummeted even further, we were waiting for them there as well.
And that now seems almost as long ago as 1931.

A three nil tonking at Fulham, and after enjoying the afternoon's programme of music I imagine the home fans left Craven Cottage going OO-HA-HA TOGETHER.
WE ALL GO OO-HA-HA TOGETHER
