Bobby Baxter topping Brighton's appearance chart - but he'd soon be off to the mighty TUFC.
A young Mike Hickman has just one first team appearance - one more than another future TUFC player Paul Bence.
Howard Wilkinson. Isn't he one of Alpine Joe's favourite right wingers.

Brian Dear would have been quite a catch for Brighton. Only two years previously he played for West Ham when they won the European Cup-Winners Cup. That would have cheered Archie, and no doubt Frank, as ex-Hammers.
Indeed I wonder if Frank O'Farrell made it to Wembley that night in May 1965. He may have had other things on his plate and a new job to contemplate.

Take a look at the league table. This victory took Torquay into second place with only five games remaining.
We had just recorded 13 consecutive league victories at Plainmoor and with three more home games to come, promotion was a distinct possibility. Oh dear! we managed to lose 4 of the last 5 games, and finished in 7th place.
