Good grief, look at that team!
Anyhow one good thing about this 1986 programme is that there's no sign of Mr Webb's face. A case of being thankful for small mercies.
Love the way the league table is suitably smudged. Were we trying to hide something?
"Still Going Strong" (Jon Sammels? Really?); "1888 Onwards"; "Gulls Gossip". Riveting stuff.
But, hopefully, young Peter Cormack of Hazel Grove found a Torquay United pen pal. Exposure to the horror stories that those letters would have conveyed must have surely prepared him for events at Stockport many years later.
Lots of jokes about Neville Chamberlain over the years. But if only he'd arrived carrying a piece of paper containing an offer to buy our club out of the mess it was in.....
