The Floodlight Club in Southport was certainly a loyal advertiser in the Southport programme. And how about that wonderful deal: man and wife 25/-. How much for a woman and husband? Or, pray, an unmarried couple?
Not sure if, even for 1966, that cover was deliberately "retro" or unintentionally so. And isn't the "World Cup series" a quaint expression. What was it? Baseball?
