Always the way, wait ages for a local Derby and then three very combative games come together within a week, on heavy pitches too, just good that the travelling has been kept to a minimum! This will be tough as Plymouth are on a good run of form with 7 points from the last three ably helped by dangerman Reuben Reid who has scored 4 in those games and tops their charts with 12 so far this season, not bad at the half way point!
I see that Marquis has returned to Millwall with his injury and won't be back unless Knill can extend his loan but uncertainty remains with their change of management. BBC is reporting that Stockley is back for this match although his loan spell has been blighted by injury and Knill has a dilemma, play him or goalscorer Hawley or Benyon who had an excellent cameo on Sunday and always gives his all.
Pretty sure that Knill will keep the same formation, our midfield three of Manse, Mozika and McCourt is actually looking very good and is just mmm.... The full backs weren't 100% on Sunday but got through OK but again, does Knill tinker with the defence after those errors? On the wings, Chappell may start with Bodin if fit but needs to be fully fit in a blood and guts Derby, maybe Cameron will get another chance?
In footballing terms, 2013 was a bit of a disaster and I won't be sad to see it go in this respect, maybe we will get a bit more for our efforts and get that overdue Derby win!!! COYY!

Tempted to go but there's only so many games over the festive period I can get out of family visits etc. to see (quite lucky to combine Dagenham with a family vist). I'd sooner give the club my £25 or £30 (depending on what I spend) than the money grabbers at Gnome Park, so radio for me I suspect.

Yes, I was a bit iffy with a storm forecast for tomorrow but looks like it is clearing just in time for the match so am going, particularly as I missed the Boxing Day game! 30mm of rain forecast for tomorrow which probably have wiped out the game if held at Plainmoor!

Touch of rain in the air at the mo - game on or off? Well, checking the Plymouth website, there is a blizzard warning!!! - thankfully from Dominic as opposed to the white stuff. Worth keeping an eye on things but their pitch seems able to play in horrendous conditions generally...

The PASOTI crew seem confident this game will go ahead.Just read this post on there; The weather right now is horrible and the forecast for the next 6 hours is equally horrible.
Will the game be on? Well yes, the only way this one will get called off is if the wind gets so bad that it blows part of the stand down or a floodlight over. It certainly won't be off for a waterlogged pitch, the drainage is so good that it would take a flood of biblical proportions and for the full 40 days and 40 nights variety and even then I reckon it would only be slightly doubtful!

I´m expecting a 2-0 defeat for this one, however after a reasonable performance against Exeter without reward a surprise point this afternoon just might be on the cards!

Good shout Frankfurt Cant say I expected anything today the whipping boys of the SW a title well an truly earned these last few days. Knives drawn on the forums tonight me thinks. Has Knilly got any more time left? Would like to thinkhe can change it but having my doubts now even after the encouraging display and loss on Sunday. No Marquis equals no threat it seems. Honeymoon over.

He should have been sacked after Scunthorpe.... Bring in Hargreaves, if nothing else we would be fighting for the shirt.

It's quite clear to me that losing Marquis was a huge blow. Things were starting to improve with him but now we've got no proper striker who can play on his own up front and who can score. We are back to square one again, we still concede but cannot score. It's hopeless again. I said a couple of months ago we should give Knilll to the end of the year to try and turn things around. Well we have and enough is enough and surely he has to go now. It was a blessing Brass has already gone so at least it won't cost so much to make a fresh start. Fans need to have some sort of hope and not just expect to lose every game.

Today was the first time I have ever missed an away game at Plymouth. Could have gone if I wanted too but Knill is dragging us down and down, just like he did at Scunthorpe and ultimately Bury too. If he ever gets a job with a football league club then they are doomed.
I listened to it and just another Knill performance, dodgy defending and missed chances. Including cups its 5 wins in 27 this season and we wont get many more with him in charge. The loss of Marquis is a big blow and hope that his position can be filled but we need to sort out this defence. It wont happen but I would have Cruise-Downes-Pearce-Occonnor and give that a try. Downes has been off the pace for a long time now and Pearce never deserved to get dropped. Best player on pitch against Pompey and never seen again.
In midfield I would bring Craig in amongst the three, Mansell/McCourt aren't worth their places but Manse is undropable like Downes. Again today listening to the commentary one minute we are up around their box and the next they are right up our end causing trouble. Listening just before they went two up I saw how many minutes left and just knew we wouldn't score a late goal to get a result. Happened in first match of season and not since. Also it was again taking more touches than needed, like Exeter. Just cross the bloody ball or shoot, we aren't Arsenal who can walk it in.

Not good, our performance level was slightly down from that against Exeter and Plymouth had enough to deserve a win. Despite the loss of Marquis, Hawley actually had a half decent game and sold a decent dummy to let Chappell though for our first chance. Downes picked up a yellow early on when their winger decided to use a bit of contact as an excuse to go down but he was the last man. Poke also picked up a yellow when when he just got to a through ball first but took out their man. On both occasions the Plymouth players made a meal of things.
Still, 0-0 at the break and in with a chance. However, Plymouth were still on top after the resumption and after 15 - 20 minutes scored what I initially thought was another defensive mistake but appeared to be a well worked move in the area finished from a tight angle. So a goal down which led to our best spell of the match where we were able to exert a sustained spell of pressure. Can recall three good chances, an overhead Hawley kick which just missed, a long range shot that McCormick had to tip over and a narrow shot that was just pushed a fraction past the post.
As is the way these days, none went in and a cross from a counter attack was emphatically headed in. Game over really, the subs of Benyon and Stockley had little impact really, partly mitigated by Sheridan adopting a more defensive formation.
Two consecutive local Derby defeats is hard to take....

Knill is dragging us down and down, just like he did at Scunthorpe and ultimately Bury too. Considering the three more or less full seasons he was at Bury they finished playoffs, 9th and in the playoffs again when he left. Does that sound like dragging down?
