The fixture computer wasn't too kind for us with a long trip to Dartford followed by the Aldershot game when even a 'reversal of this would have been easier. Our opponents have had an extra day's rest as well with a battling draw with Forest Green on Friday!
Hargreaves stated that he was worried by the recovery time for this one and maybe he intends to rotate some of the players? For instance, I was surprised that Pearce did not start but perhaps two competitive games within 48 hours was deemed too much for someone without a competitive match under his belt this season yet? Also I worry about Briscoe as well so maybe Chappell should get a start, particularly if Ajala hasn't recovered from his knock. Is Ofofi-Acheampong fit as well? If not, Benyon and Yeoman up front doesn't fill me with confidence and I would rather see a three man midfield and just the one striker. Could be a different line up from Saturday but we shall see.
Aldershot have done ok so far with 7 points seeing them outside the play offs only by goal difference despite only coming out of administration less than a month ago. Lathrope seems to be settling down well in their midfield, pity really as he could have done a job for us but that is what happens with a skewed budget I suppose. Oastler is another familiar face and many would rather Knill had retained him as opposed to Tonge and tomorrow will be a good comparison of the two. I think Brett Williams will be the player to watch out for as he has three to his tally already!

Agree with your post rjd, I think hargreaves has to shake things up a bit. Pearce is our best defender and should be playing. Chappell should also be given the chance now he is off the list. I'm really not a fan of benyon at all, given the choice it would be yeoman for me if Duane isn't fit. However as you say neither exactly inspires confidence. How far off is Hawley from fitness? Nobody's favorite but surely worth a try at this level if we continue to misfire at the front. There are goals in him somewhere as his record suggests (apart from with us!!!) and he could get back some form against some of the opposition this season. We are paying him we may as well make him work for his cheque!! It will be interesting to see how oastler plays, he was never the best going forward but I thought defensively sound. I'm sure he will be up for it. Anyway, with our absentees, think we will struggle to win and so am going for another draw.

Not confident from what I have read on yeterdays match with us struggling to create anything in the second half and not converting our chances in the first. Along with knocks to Ofofi-Acheampong , Ajala, Bowman banned we will look even less of a force than a a week ago. Lathrope to return and haunt us and play out of his skin - guaranteed.

the last home game i missed was the 5 0 drubbing of shrewsbury,a couple of years back. But with the weather forecast crap tomorrow and no longer being a season ticket holder, giving this one a miss,i hope we do em,but got a nagging feeling we will get turned over.It appears my enthusiasm is waning somewhat after over 40 years support,it will return once we stop looking like we are treading water.100 mile round journeys each home game has taken its toll, and away trips to the likes of gateshead too

It seems that we are rubbish against the teams we should be turning over with ease (nothing new there then) so let's just hope we can do better against the teams that are actually making a fist of it at the moment...Aldershot/Lincoln!
I remember that the founder of this site (Dave), used to count Magpies of a Saturday morning, and try and predict the results of games from that...he wasn't that successful if I remember rightly! Myself, being somewhat different to most people, have decided to count Lancaster Bombers, and the direction they are flying in rather than count Magpies!
Today, I saw TWO of them fly in a Northerly direction over my property...what that means in regard to the game tomorrow I haven't got a f***ing clue, but I will put it in my diary for future reference!
For those of you remotely interested (thank you Simon ~HullGull~) I live under the flight-path of The Battle of Britain Flight, so every time they fly in or out of their base...I get to see them!

I somehow can't see us scoring - best result a 0 - 0.
Lathrope to score today.
4 magpies seen in my garden yesterday.

Quite a bit of heavy rain this morning but should be clearing by lunchtime, the pitch should get a bit of wear and tear though....
I saw 7 magpies together yesterday, would love to see a 7-4 home win but don't think it is going to happen....

No magpies in my garden this morning but several Lancaster Bombers. Surely that points to a difficult afternoon ahead. 3-1 to Aldershot.

Saw a few magpies and couple of squirrels in the park yesterday, so going for a 2-1 win.

I'm a born pessimist so think today will be a tough ask. Pearce has to return! We looked v shakey at the back on Saturday.
