Brilliant stuff again gullone.
Three games in and the "little three" - Torquay, Aldershot and Newport have set their stall out early.
HELLO! Have you yet joined THE SUPPORTERS' LEAGUE?
Schemes will be launched from time to time by the League and we ask your co-operation to make our efforts a success.
21 bob for a haircut! Are Maison Stephens having a laugh? I thought you could buy a three-bed semi for 21 shillings in 1932.

I did did have my hair done once in Bristol in 1967 and it cost me 19 shillings and sixpence. At that time the weekly living grant for students was £3, to put it into perspective. Andre Bernard I seem to remember. Just the once.

There's a long history of our programme covers displaying a picture of the harbour area taken from the general direction of the sea front. This must be one of the earlier examples. They'll surely make a comeback one day. For the moment there are examples to be found inside several of this season's programmes.
Black and White's notes are written in a style that was just about still doing the rounds when I first started reading about football thirty years later. Authoritative, seemingly analytical but possibly not saying a great deal. I'm more than happy to carry on such a fine tradition. And in this example the message is simple enough: we can't score goals.
A valuable lesson for supporters: "by your loyalty and forbearance shall ye be judged." That's one to ponder.
1932. The year of Tarzan.
Johnny Weissmuller that is.

A big thanks to gullone for enabling us to enjoy these fascinating publications. Barton has certainly highlighted the key phrase, and it would do no harm at all if on Saturday the big screen was flashing the message "by your loyalty and forbearance shall ye be judged." in the direction of Block C of Bristow's Bench, so that it could be contemplated by those wishing to loudly berate Courtney Cameron on his first touch of the ball.
With the news bulletins reporting Tesco having to remove their 'Gifts for Boys' signage, I wonder whether Frank.J.March's "MAINLY FOR MEN" doesn't show them the way to go in order to attract your intended market, yet not totally play into the hands of that little band of females always looking for an opportunity to throw the 'sexism' book at you.
And what great attractions Torquay had to offer, none better on a warm day than the Vita Glass Sun Lounge at The Medical Baths. I wasn't quite sure what that entailed but here's what they had in Matlock at about the same time.

..yet not totally play into the hands of that little band of females always looking for an opportunity to throw the 'sexism' book at you. And me. There will be zero tolerance of that sort of behaviour in Block C of Bristow's Bench.
