Who would have thought, in years gone by, that one day we would play teams like Braintree and Welling and be unable to beat them ? God forbid !!
There is really only one saving grace left this season. We only need to win probably another four games in order to avoid relegation to Conference South. Altrincham, Dartford, Alfreton and Telford could help us with that, but I can't see many more points coming from the teams above them in the table.
The chap from Hull is starting to become rather irritating with his blind faith !! I can't understand where his optimism comes from, unless he is trying to wind us all up.

Not sure anyone cares any more there are so few who post here these days. A sign of the times perhaps.
Big changes with the starting line up for various reasons I would guess and a hard earned point that stops the rot though I fear another drubbing on Thursday at the Mem as Rovers have found some genuine form along with their shooting boots. Our chances of reaching the playoffs are getting more remote by the week - didnt expect to be in real contention pre season anyway given our circumstances - and Greavsy has built a rather lightweight footballing side that is ok on firm pitches but nowhere near physical enough on heavy winter pitches hence the dramatic change in fortune and slow slide down among the also ran's. Nearly 7000 at Rovers a well supported club that should be aiming to get back at the first attempt. We however will have to endure this league for many a season and I fear we are the next Lincoln City or Wrexham who have failed season after season to mount any sort of serious challenge. "Natural selection" - survival of the fittest its called in the animal world and if you are not strong enough or determined enough to rise above mediocrity then the the slide to a sustainable level is inevitable unless you become extinct of course.

mis-management on and off the pitch has put us where we are now sadly,if the day has come when we see a 0 0 draw at part time welling as a good result, then god help us.Sadly it looks like luke young maybe out for a while, shame for him, being the only real quality player on our books. The club has been touting how wonderful he is for a while, simply to flog him,no other reason along with young ives.A far cry from a couple of years ago when we were told every penny brought in from player sale fees would go straight back into the kitty for more players, frankly tis been an untruth

Perhaps the fact that the team has won only four of the last seventeen games and is clearly on a downward spiral ? I have supported the club since 1954 and have seen my fair share of ups and downs, so please don't try and tell me that we are now in an era when everything about the club is rosy and success is just around the corner. That is blatant nonsense.
