Revenge for 1909/10 when they took our Torquay and District League title and knocked us out of both the Express Cup and the East Devon Senior Cup.

You can put the Express Cup defeat down to four of our players deciding to skip the trip to Dartmouth so that they could make their way to the Palk Arms to watch Babbacombe take on the mighty Plymouth Argyle in the Plymouth and District League. We started the match with eight men and ended it with ten.

The EDS Cup quarter final defeat came in a second replay at Long Park Pottery after draws at Barton Road and Dartmouth.

Our first trips to Dartmouth were as far back as 1899 to play HMS Britannia - which was to become the Royal Naval College.

We played a team called just Dartmouth in 1903 at Plainmoor! This was going to be a Dartmouth home game, but they borrowed Ellacombe's Plainmoor pitch for the occasion. A 7-0 win for Torquay with hat tricks from Percy White and the mysterious "Mr Munro" - who is worthy of a thread of his own!

Next up is Dartmouth Boys Brigade who won 2-1 at Barton Road in November 1906.

Boys Brigade changed their name to Umited at the start of the 1907/08 season.

Dartmouth United merged with Dartmouth YMRC in 1999 to form the current Dartmouth AFC.
