Probably a first chance to see Nathan Smith and maybe Joe Quigley if rumours are to be believed. With the last two PSF games coming up, not much scope to play trailists if the first XI are to get match time together and maybe there has been a cull of those on trial. Cox did hint that he would like to have been done and dusted by last Saturday but seems we are short of funds to achieve a quick resolution?

I wonder when the team in Green are going to spring it upon us that we can keep all of tonight's takings?

We went down to a solitary late goal from a set piece. Crowd 1781, just over 800 Arygle supporters. Quite a close game. We looked a little shaky on crosses and corners in the first half and they hit the bar and post from these respectively. Marsh managed to take the ball off their keeper but defenders were back on the line and his curling shot went just wide of the left hand post.
Smith featured for the first time with Angus and Exodus in defence and did pretty well, looked calm and confident. Spires was in goal and wingbacks were Butler to the left and Richards on the right The latter needed to watch his positioning but did OK here, certainly better than as a centre half!! I was told that Topliss was on the bench but did not feature.
Kellarman and Fenwick were midfield and looked the part with Young in the advanced midfield position. Marsh and Briscoe completed the line up up front.
In the second half, Chaney, Lavercombe, Yeoman and some guy that sounded like Malachi came on- another player with an old testament book name? Just got rid of Levi(ticus) as well. Our best chance was a shot just wide from the edge of the area.

Report from the Herald can be found HEREBasically, despite Fairhurst not playing due to having a minor injury, Cox is still looking to bring in a couple of strikers! I think that will mean a couple will be going out looking at our striking roster. I was hoping that Kellerman would be a front man and took me a while to get my bearings as I arrived a few minutes late at the game. No sign of Joe Quigley unfortunately.

Not the best of games but a few players stood out, these being Butler, Fenwick, Kellerman and Smith
Malachi was only on the pitch for 10 minutes or so and will need more 'game time' to impress. Less impressed with Marsh and Yeoman and Cox is on the mopney this morning saying that's were he needs to recruit.
Shoot me down in flames or nail me to the door, but on this performance both teams will struggle next season.
No programmes on sale either - CEO forgot to place order!

Well, our new manager has found out early the phenomenon that exists at TUFC...that of conceding the odd goal or two in the last ten minutes. All the other lower league managers knew/know about it so will be interesting to see what Cox tries to do about said phenomenon! Excellent turn out from the Argyle supporters I must admit. Again, it seems that our forwards couldn't hit a cow in the c**t with a musket, but we still have time to rectify that problem and Cox it seems is aware of it.
Have to admit that my taste for football has returned ( could it be because we are now being run as a football club should be ) and am looking forward to the start of the season!
