Although it wasn't to be, well, at least for another three years, as a teenager at school in the bay, it was a breath of fresh air to see us being competitive and at the right end of the table after years of "valiantly" struggling at the wrong end. Of course, had a nice cup run the following season...

I remember it was hammering with rain throughout the whole match. A bitter disappointment.

I also remember the town being full of Swansea fans that night, and my friends and I being chased by a group of Swansea fans and seeking refuge in the kebab shop opposite Central Church.

I remember it was hammering with rain throughout the whole match. A bitter disappointment. Yes i seem to remember squeezing along to get under the covered area of the pop side that afternoon. Gutted at the final whistle but on reflection a cracking season. |
