Snowed under with work at the moment so haven't got time to write up a match thread but hope to be back home to listen to the game later!

Woo Hoo...it's finally arrived, the day when we're going to kick a teams butt! Well we are going to beat them aren't we? After all, it's only lil' ole Welling! Sadly, it's not a forgone conclusion anymore and those days are long gone. The last time we were non-league it was quite an adventure (despite what some saddo's might think) and some of the gates we got (gates we would give our left testicle for at the moment) proved that. Indeed, we were thought of as a big fish in a little pond! Now though, instead of being a big beautiful fish swimming around in the bright clear waters at the top of the pond, we are some grotesque looking thing shuffling around the dark bottom of the pond!
If ex is still injured, it might force us to play a different sort of formation...a Champagne moment...we shall see.
Same formation (we know that we will concede from 1-3 goals) a 1:1 draw.
New formation a 1:0 win...phew!

What happened with Spiess? Came for the ball and momentum/clash with a Welling player took him outside the area Fish semed to miss another easy goal. Oh well......

1-1 - second half sounded absolutely frenetic!

Well done lads for holding out with 10 men. Good for belief and a sense of togetherness when you beat the odds. The sending off may have been harsh so this may have galvanised the side.

Got to that was a much improved performance aided by the excellent Lavercombe. Even with 10 men we could have sneaked it!

We're always hoping to unearth a gem when we get hold of these young players, and in Lavercombe, I think we have one. Others don't, which is why he has only made the bench once this season. I think he knows he's got talent (unlike Ives who thought he had talent but actually didn't) and won't be prepared to play second fiddle for much longer. Every one knows we don't have two pennies to rub together, so expect a move (at a knock down price) to one of our near neighbours soon!

Well, two correct predictions on the bounce for me. Not that difficult of course, because we now know that because of the formation we play we will concede goals, and because of the level we play at we will score goals.
Not such a bad day yesterday though, Corbett is now leader of the Labour party, and as I type they are in complete disarray. I can see the next election results:
1) Conservatives 2) UKIP 3) The Monster Raving Loony Party 4) Labour 5) Lib Dems
I was going to put Labour at the bottom of the list but that would be unfair, because they are only in disarray, whereas the Lib Dems are a complete F**k Up...or was that just Nick Clegg??!!
Although, all of that is completely irrespective because the planet is going to be destroyed this month! Well it is according to some religious groups! It seems that either the Anti-Christ is going to pay us a visit and take up residence in Turkey (he'll fit in nicely there then) or we're going to be wiped out by tornadoes or the Hadron Collider is going to wipe us out (I blame Barton and Jon for building the damn thing) or The Pope and Obama have stuffed it for us or...
I wouldn't worry too much about it though, these religious groups have been saying such things since they decided to invent a God!
