Thanks for the reporr GG. It is indeed encouraging that we are working hard for each other, appear committed and are at least creating chances. I don't think we are that far away from being a half decent side. Cox will continue to work on these young player's education and hopefully the individual errors can be eliminated. Hopefully Fairhurst will be back soon who will add some much needed experience to the front line. He is a big miss at the moment.

Made me chuckle this morning on the way into work, whilst listening to Paul Cox on Radio Devon "We must stop the entertainment value"

I notice on the other site that some are fairly critical of our performance.
It would be easy to criticise the team, but we must remember that they are a very young side and will learn as the season progresses.
When you think there are only two players who were in the side at the end of last season it puts a lot into perspective.
We are short of quality, but on our budget what do you expect.
There is the makings of a team to stay up and if the off field business can be sorted out can be built on in future seasons.
I don't think there is an instant remedy to our problems and this season will be full of disappointments.
The loss of Fairhurst and Young will have an effect on the team's success I'm afraid.
My wife said to me last night at the game that she felt that the players looked as though they wanted to play for us as opposed to last season where half of them never looked interested.

It is very easy to criticise the team but as you say GG, perspective is needed and patience. The brief is to stay up, consolidate and improve this season. Rebuilding TUFC is a long term project and won't be achieved over-night. I think most people understand that and hopefully the support will stay with us while it happens.

In the great scheme of things, I don't think conceding a last minute goal (again) is going to have any great detriment to this season (I think we'll just about survive...on the pitch that is) or indeed increase or decrease the amount of people who attend Plainmoor this coming Saturday...the gate will be horrendous!
We've now played ten games, so when do we stop saying we are a young side and still learning...20 ~ 30 ~ 40 games! I think the learning cycle has finished, and what we have now is the finished article...this season is going to be a very bumpy ride indeed!
