When did we first issue a programme??

I guess the first question, for future reference is... When did we first issue a programme?? Programme Monthly has Torquay Uniteds earliest known home issue as 23/4 Aberdare FAC4Q. I can only guess it is similar to the 24/5 large format Southern League home issue that is in the programmes room. The club turned professional in 1921 and it wouldnt surprise me if they issued that season and i am always hopeful that a Devon Senior Cup Final programme from Home Park may appear one day. We can only guess that Torquay Town might have issued for certain high profile games. It would be great to know if anyone has seen or heard of anything earlier than that 23/4 issue out there... |

I plan to return to this if the likes of Jon, Gullone etc etc are all interested. Due to ongoing ill health I have had to keep putting this to the side.
Would be great to have a definitive list of what we all know. Let me know if you guys think this is still a good idea.

Yes definitely a good idea but could be a long frustrating job but well worth seeing what info is out there. Im still impressed by the Torquay live on tele thread....the info came in from all angles to complete the list. |

The best and quickest way would be to just list the postponements and whether the rearranged games were reissues/w or without inserts or new and work from there.
Maybe I will also open a P-P board so we have a lit there too.
We can start with last season.... would anyone be kind enough to post the PSF's etc and the P-P for last season....
We can work back from there....

Another question: Which season did we have the round robin Sherpa/Frieght etc? where all the ties were 1-1 I believe and had to be replayed? Were programmes issued for all the rematches?

Another idea. Perhaps interested parties could meet once or twice a season.... A 'Torquay United Programme Collective' if you like, at a match and swap info/ask questions etc.

Will post ten threads a week....
All that is needed are the P-P and whether an issue exists - and therearranged fixture - whether there was a reissue with or without an insert or a new issue.
Plus all the friendlies.
