I think we have reached crunch time in the season and we now need to start putting some wins on the board. The Christmas period has shown we can compete with anyone in the division and with a run of home fixtures coming up we need to start closing the gap and give fans a belief that safety can be achieved, something we have done time and time again since I starting supporting the club. A forward is desperately needed and the line up tomorrow is still very much in the air. Ajala is a welcome addition and is the type of player we need but more bodies are still required!

Pitch inspection 3.00pm today - bet fixture is postponed! Wasted 500 mile round trip!! We really do not want this postponed. Very heavy rain this morning for a few hours. More over night early tomorrow morning but the match time itself is ok weatherwise. Unfortunately - shows how poor our drainage is.....

Game is off according to Steve Breed on BTPIR. Thanks for passing that on - bit of a blow - only upside is chance to get some more players in. Forecast seems to be a bit drier next week so maybe we can get a run of games going....

My wife said this morning perhaps we could make the match tomorrow. Glad we didn't try to make the 500 mile round trip. At least it has been postponed well in advance to save those who make a long trip down.
Ah well maybe get in a few midweek games.

Just as well we don't ground share! Perhaps the Muppets in charge will now have more time to make the signings we need to at least give it a go in terms of avoiding the drop (or perhaps not)!

Clearly the pitch and drainage must be in a very bad state, partly due the exceptional rainfall over the past few weeks.
However, it does make you wonder what the previous regime were doing with their mega budget - clearly not investing any of it in one of the most important parts of a football club! Presumably the weather in Exeter is more or less the same and their game seems to be on!
It might seem to be a positive for us as we have not really strengthened the squad yet - but postponed games add to potential fixture congestion and a mid week crowd will almost certainly be less.
I still do not understand why the Club did not want to even consider a possible offer from TUST to help fund some pitch covers - surely they would help (they seem to do a good job for cricket pitches)!

Never thought I would ever say it but well done to Exeter you did Devon proud and were by far the better team.
Great to see Bobby in goal again.

fair dues too Exeter, run like a proper club, not tinpot or a shambles Also goes to show what you can achieve with a Trust-run club and actively involved supporters. Mentioned here before, but I went 'behind enemy lines' for our win there a couple of years ago and it was a real eye-opener - lots of things going on to build up the matchday experience and keep income within the club, much of it organised by the fans themselves. Was left with the depressing thought that if anyone tried similar at Plainmoor they'd probably be met with a wave of indifference or a bitchy slagging off on the internet. Doesn't matter who's in charge at TUFC, we seem to have a knack of disillusioning anyone who tries to make a difference...

If the rent from the ground share is used to improve the drainage it will be a boon for the club. Apparently the cost will be recouped when 3 games have been played instead of postponed.
The Club Up The Road show what can be achieved through supporter ownership. The one thing that the Gulls have above all else is the loyalty of us supporters and hopefully we will be given our chance to show what we can achieve as owners.
