Can't say I'm overly concerned by the lack of signings or the appointments of Harrop, Hayman, Herbert. The statement from Clarke Osborne reads as I had hoped it would and it demonstrates some commitment at least for the time being. Plenty of panic, bluster and dismay but these are genuine football people and haven't we been crying out for that for some time? As far as signings go the next couple are extremely important, signings that may well determine which division we are playing in next term. Nicholsons recent record in the transfer market leaves a lot to be desired but he can only sign who's available and willing to come at the end of the day- he has little room for error once he commits with the run in looming. Also with the prospect of three of the more experienced players soon coming back from injury he needs to be aware of where on the pitch he invests his small budget. He hit lucky with the availability of Blissett and Racchi last term who both made a big difference. Whether he can pull another rabbit out of the hat remains to be seen even though we are in a slightly more favorable league position this term it could end up being our downfall if we slip into another poor run of form.

With Harrop, Hayman and Herbert hurricanes hardly ever happen.
