Pretty damning but looking at our remaining fixtures and going by this we will comfortably avoid the drop !

This appears to be the most appropriate recent thread on which to post this.
In a season of curious and illogical statistics, here is another one:
After 42 matches last season: W 11 D 11 L 20 GF 45 GA 70 Pts 44
After 42 matches this season: W 11 D 11 L 20 GF 46 GA 57 Pts 44
So, identical WDL record, but one goal more scored and 13 fewer conceded.
That seems unlikely, when a comparison is made between Berry, MacDonald, Smith and Butler on the one hand, and Gallifuoco, McGinty, Rowe-Turner plus one on the other. Perhaps the reason lies in the fact that Moore is a far better keeper than Spiess and Lavercombe ?

Great stats, gents. Gary Waddock mentioned before the Aldershot match that TUFC had lost only three matches of the 17 against top 10 sides before our match. Obviously that became 3 in 18 after the final whistle.
We were on a bit of a roll at the time of posting that identical record last season, Stewart. I would agree that Moore has been a better 'keeper for us.

I think the relatively small negative in goal difference, suggests we have not always been an easy team to beat or a walkover. Just that we cannot score. I think the current squad would probably do well in Conference South, should we be relegated, certainly harder to beat than perhaps some would assume.

Moore has his faults but is an exceptional shot stopper who has also saved quite a few pens this term. I am a big fan of Moore he will no doubt be snapped up by another club in a few weeks time.
