Big match tonight, a loss would make things very difficult to get out of our relegation troubles while a win would give added hope to plot our way to safety. COYY

As results stand...
York (Simon Heslop scoring) would be two points behind us (worse GD)and Woking (worse GD). Maidstone 3 ponts ahead of Woking and us but worse GD than us.

A much needed 1-0 win but Sparkes got clattered and stretchered off so would be a huge loss for us!

A much needed 1-0 win but Sparkes got clattered and stretchered off so would be a huge loss for us! There is a huge anomaly in the rules of the game resulting from that incident. If a player is sent off after injuring an opponent who cannot continue, and the injured player's team has used all of its substitutes, then that team should be permitted to bring back any player currently on the bench, irrespective of whether or not they had started on the pitch. There is a similar type of flexibility in rugby, when players are allowed to resume in specialist positions, and there appears to be no reason why football cannot be equally flexible in the interests of fairness. Why should the innocent team also be reduced in numbers when one of its opponents has blatantly caused that reduction ?

Absolutely crucial that win tonight when you consider the tough fixtures that await. Chester, Braintree and North Feriby look like the obvious paths of escape, Braintree being dragged into the battle of late. Still a lot to do and If Sparks misses games we will be looking pretty punch less without another genuine winger in the camp. What an absolutely ridiculous state of affairs regards the squad - our parasitic owners and their glove puppet wont be happy tonight.

Cracking result last night and a real morale booster for the team.
Lets hope the injury to Sparkes is just a 'sprain' and he'll be back as soon as...
Saturdays key games (apart from us):
Woking home to Sutton York home to Braintree Maidstone home to Barrow Southport home to Guiseley Solihull home to Aldershot
One in the eye for GI this result...Wouldn't be surprised if they paid Cooke to noble Sparkes!!
