That response is really grinding my gears! Top half budget nonsense. Incredulity shown at 'the mere suggestion' of a club being left without a new ground in the town to move into immediately or between seasons, when he's been there, done that and worn the bloody t-shirt already. It's take your pick on things hard to stomach right now when it comes to our beloved club. I understand why it grates. You won't be alone in that respect, Pete. He prefaced the comment with better chosen words, but words are all they were. It's action and inaction that can cause the greater harm at the end of the day when it comes to our owner. All credit goes to the players, Manager and supporters in forging a temporary siege mentality after the lack of deadline strengthening. There's still fight there for this season.

Ironically, it was the threat of relegation that led the previous board to deal with GI in the first place as going down was quite rightly viewed as a catastrophe. Maybe they had the right idea in what was a very difficult situation but a blend of inexperience, poor advice and a certain naivety led to a poor choice and after telling the fans to be quiet, trust us and what a wonderful man CO was, realised they had made a poor decision but were unable to dig themselves out of a very deep hole.
Personally I would have preferred to have gone down last year and tried to have rebuilt or restructured the club in the division below without the threat of losing our ground and ultimately the club......

No good going to come out of plainmoor now any chairman that says relegation not a bad thing is truly an astonishing statement

That response is really grinding my gears! Is his response getting any easier to take yet, Pete?

Not one bit Rob. From the off like many I was prepared to be open minded and give them a chance. There was no other choice but after seeing their unwillingness to communicate with fans from the off and blatant failure to support the manager in the fight against relegation they have now become my arch enemy I reckon most of realise what the five year plan is now. Surprisingly Osborne has shown us his hand early by his actions or should I say lack of action. I would have thought he would have tried at least to keep the majority supporters on his side until the Freehold was Gi's An owner with no ambition for the football club whatsoever - the club is as good as dead in this situation. A club with no ambition who's going to support that idea? His replies were carefully worked out - he knew what was coming in interview and was prepared for those questions none of which were given a concrete reply. You can tell he knows virtually nothing about the game - he has educated himself just enough to not look too foolish. Lets face it he can tell us exactly what he wants and what he thinks we want to hear and I believe that's exactly what he and Harrop have done. And Harrop knows what the business plan is. Thought he looked pressured and flustered in interview. He's just tool of limited intellect and a buffer for Osborne and GI. Its not working for me.

Not 100% accurate but really puts the Herald Express to shame for their lack of critical analysis and their latest "absolute guarantee" slant on things!

Not 100% accurate but really puts the Herald Express to shame for their lack of critical analysis and their latest "absolute guarantee" slant on things! Completely agree. Of course, those matters where it is either not 100% accurate or under previous owners, could be latched onto by some fool or another and I fully expect that sort of puerile analysis may be all the HE does in referring to the article. I hope to be surprised, but the 'absolute' guarantee nonsense last week would suggest otherwise.
