A few days remain for us mortals to decide who we are going to elect to lead us into a golden future out of the EU! Firstly though, who would be the best leader to sort out the problems we are having in Manchester and down in the smoke? Our Theresa in a previous existence got rid of 20.000 police officers! Corbett says he doesn't like it when police start shooting people! Has there ever been an election where all the candidates are such utter shite!
Nice piece from Littlejohn today: "Smug, craven politicians in thrall to notions of diversity...sowed the seeds of terrorism we are now reaping!" Thank you very much the abhorrent Tony Blair and Labour!

Register When the Smoke Alarm went off in such spectacular style a while back, everyone understandably evacuated the TFF General Election room . So well done Reg for not only showing it's safe to step back inside, but also for accurately outlining what a depressing choice we have in front of us. Even as you look farther down the field, the likes of Tim Farron is an uninspiring figure, the type who wouldn't have got within a million miles of leadership of his Party a few decades ago when there was some ability to choose from. Ex-Tranmere Rovers star Paul Nuttall just doesn't cut the mustard compared to Sir Nige putting over the UKIP message. Even in the context of the most recent events, with Theresa May's six year stint as Home Secretary being seen by many as playing a big part in propping the door wide open and laying down the 'Welcome' mat for the 23,000 jihadi's currently busy spreading diversity and body parts across Britain's streets and concert halls. An Opposition of even minor competence could surely easily appear preferable, but instead, what Jezza offers us in exchange is only to worry the nation with the thought that Diane Abbott would be in charge of the police by the end of the week. Just as more than a few political commentators in America have observed that the Democrats selected the only candidate (Hillary) that could lose against Trump, will we also realise that Labour could have won with any number of potential leaders, just not with Jezza ? Not only do politicians recognise when it's 'A good day to bury bad news' , but they're currently adhering to the old political maxim of 'Never let a good crisis go to waste' and the authoritarian May is hinting at her long held desire to create a Surveillance State. While long understood by some, I'd expect her to earnestly start turning her dream into reality in the months after June 8th, if she's back in Downing Street. Tezza won the Tory leadership with absolute ease. Overwhelming support, to the extent that possible challengers just melted away and threw in the towel. Overwhelming support from the vast majority of Tory MPs who, just like Tezza herself, backed the 'Remain' campaign. Last weeks figures showed Tezza is getting huge election fund donations coming in from big companies, and these companies want us to suck up to the E.U. The evidence of May's whole political career suggests she's the last person you'd hang your hat on to actually deliver a 'hard Brexit'.....but she's two faced enough to fool enough people as to her intentions. I can't think of any possible result, whereby we can wake up on June 9th feeling anything but thoroughly depressed .

May is disappointing, and will prove to be far more disappointing yet. She's little more than a Remainiac E.U supporting sheep, donning the politically expedient cloak of a Brexit wolf. And put into power by the mass of 'Remain' supporting Tory MP's. Sharizza May will continue down the same politically correct path that we've heading for decades, and will happily turn Britain into a Surveillance or Police State in order to enforce that, rather than change course or put a halt to the policies that the public dislike so much. The problem is the alternative provided by Labour. Even meeker surrender to the E.U, even more enforced multiculturalism, and even faster delivery of life under the watchful eye of Big Brother, making sure you don't say or think anything not officially approved of. The number one priority therefore has to be the defeat of Jezza's Marxist rabble, as many of our newspapers responsibly make clear today. Whether nationally or locally we need to rekindle the defiant spirit that helped us see off the Pre-share issue, to show the personal strength of purpose and fortitude that Dave Philips did in taking as much flak as necessary to fight off the Militants as the tried to grab our club. Locally, The Puppy Dog Army were willing to put themselves in the front line and face down Corbyn. Today it is necessary for the people of Britain to do the same.

TEZZA SIGNS NEW FIVE YEAR CONTRACT ! Theresa May headed off to Buckingham Palace today, and was delighted to hear the Queen announce 'Carry On Tezza !' Now, with the strong and stable support of the Democratic Unionist party, we can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that Corbo's coalition of chaos will be occupying the Opposition benches, rather than unleashing their red wrecking ball on the country. Above all the Election must not be used as a way of sabotaging our only life boat that can enable us to escape the sinking hulk of the E.U. A proper and meaningful Brexit must be top priority. The warning signs as to the future of the E.U are frighteningly clear, and we mustn't miss our chance to escape. What lessons to be learned from the campaign ? I noted that a Tory who lost his seat claimed that the Conservatives had simply re-run the 'Remain' campaign i.e as with 'Project Fear' which attempted to scare voters rather than having anything positive to say about the E.U, this Tory campaign also tried to rely on anti-Corbyn stories alone, rather than having a positive message of their own to put across. There have to be lessons for everyone to learn from this. Even in the States what fresh ideas or hopes did Hillary put forward ? Again, she assumed that a campaign based on negativity towards her opponent would be enough to get her to the winning post, but that approach doesn't seem to be a strategy to trust. Closer to home we've seen that the Militants policy of constantly sniping at G.I has only, and can only get them so far. The time comes, particularly when you're asking people to back you with either their vote or their money, that they'll want to know your proposals, and not just what you don't like about the other guy. How are you going to raise funds to keep the show on the road ?, how credible would your business plan be, should you ever come up with one?, just how low a level of regional football would we have to except under your regime ? Not only a proper answer is required, but a convincing answer is demanded to valid questions. And if credible answers aren't forthcoming you weaken your appeal at the ballot box or with a pre-share issue.

No matter how anyone tries to dress it up, last night was an unmitigated disaster for the Tories. They may have won the most seats but the swing back to Labour was colossal. If May and Sturgeon are looking over their shoulders a bit tentatively, Corbyn certainly isn't. Seems I may not have been the only one to whom Corbyn's manifesto resonated a bit. May did as Clinton did, and offered no real change. That's a mistake. People aren't happy with the status quo option and demonstrated that clearly last night. What a mess UK is at the moment. Totally agree. And also with rjd's thoughts on May's longevity. Sadly, we are a basket case and laughing stock going into Brexit negotiations with the current coalition of chaos and weak leader waiting for the inevitable knife in the back her party will give her.

Goodness, how close was that to having a lunatic running the asylum! If Labour had had anyone but Corbett in charge, they would have pissed that. Shit, with Jabba the Hutt as leader they would have done better!
So now we move on to Brexit! Sigh! With our Theresa now in full swing and raring to put one up the Kaiser's arse all will be well. Won't it? Of course she could be booted out of office shortly and the only person likely to win that race is Boris! Have I mentioned a lunatic running the asylum?

Comrade Reg Put me down as an undecided, Reg . Your theory may well be right, but I'm just not certain. I'm increasingly coming to the opinion that this was the perfect result for Labour supporters and that's why they're so happy. Certainly of the Labour supporters I spoke to, they could happily trot off to the polls, virtue signalling to their hearts content in the preceding weeks, and vote for Comrade Corbo happy in the certainty that they'd been assured that he couldn't actually win. You could feel good about yourself, knowing that there wouldn't also be a price to pay for your reckless red vote. Remind yourself who votes Labour these days. Just consider the Lefties across the three Forums and consider how many are, or ever have been involved in manufacturing or manual work of any description. It wasn't just Brexit that underlined that the working class have long ago abandoned Labour. These days it's overwhelmingly those not short of a bob or two, or middle class students, or those who have come here as they're rather partial to the free stuff on offer from the British state. The best example is surely the last result to come in: Kensington...a Labour gain ! Now, thrilled as our Kensington champagne Socialists were to vote for Corbo...you can't tell me there wasn't more than a moment of blind panic when the first exit poll was revealed...suggesting there was an outside chance that he might be Prime Minister !!. The average house price in Kensington is £1.4 million. These weren't people who for one serious second thought they'd ACTUALLY have to pay the outlandish taxes or hand over their wealth to finance a Socialist Republic that would gradually take it all their wealth away from them. No, this election gave every appearance that you could give the Tories a kicking with your vote, but still easily avoid the reality of Comrade Corbo being anywhere near power. A different Labour leader - one they were afraid could win - and wouldn't those same Kensington vegetarians have come swiftly to their senses and probably votes LibDem instead.? Too close for comfort for a number of the Lefty middle class this time...and it'll have taught them a lesson not to sail so close to the wind in future. But there's no denying they eventually struck lucky and are enjoying that fact. They enjoy voting anti-Conservative....they've enjoyed cheering a big increase in the Labour vote....and they've avoided having to face up to the stark reality of Comrade Corbo in Downing Street, or Diane at the Home Office. Plus, above all, they get to keep their money..in fact eventually keep more of it thanks to the Dementia tax.....it's a win, win, win, win for them..... no wonder they're grinning from ear to ear. However, if today it really had been Chancellor John MacDonald setting out his tax plans for them...now that would have wiped the smile off their faces in double quick time

TEZZA TIGHTENS GRIP
Had a little look at Twitter just before lunch just to see what was exercising people's minds. Here's a selection: Peace of mind for Pensioners.Confidence of Brexit delivery.IRA supporters kept out of Government. You can see why the BBC hates the #DUPHad the IRA supporter Corbyn been able to get in Number Ten & the BBC would be ecstatic. Today, the anti IRA #DUP are in Number 10 instead! Let's see. The DUP want to see a complete Brexit. They want to see the Union flourish. They want to see Pensioners protected. BBC weeping.
No Dementia Tax. No means testing of Winter Allowance. No Cut to pensioner pensions. The #DUP are such evil bastards, right BBC??
So I couldn't resist tuning in to the 1 o'clock news, and there's no doubt about it, it's quite a while since the BBC has been so angry. Replaying a fair chunk of the lengthy John Major interview that they aired in full only a week or so ago, in which the exPM was scathing about such a deal....and followed that up by wheeling out Octogenarian Michael Heseltine, who predictably didn't have a good word to say about it either. I was almost preparing myself for Kenneth Clarke to be next. Any attempt at balance or impartiality ??....you're having a laugh....this was about as balanced as a group of TUST members colluding with the Observer to inform you about Torquay United. Tezza's Government is, and will continue to be pretty dreadful, but if the BBC has steam coming out of it's ears, then you know the Government must have eventually got something right.

The three people you mention - Major, Heseltine and Clarke - are former or current Conservative MP's. Is it that which has you concerned about the impartiality of the reporting, AJ?

To an extent, yes, Rob. The BBC were clearly eager to play up their sub text of dissent within the Tory Party to this agreement with the DUP rather than feature an all too predictable counter argument from other parties MP's.
However, irrespective of labels, it was the lack of diversity of opinion that was my main bugbear....the BBC's agenda in only bringing dissenting Tories to the mic shouldn't be overlooked though, and well done for raising it.
