Not the sort of thing you want to see ex England captains do. I guess he'll get a driver for a bit. I thought he had more about him these days and was quite pleased for him that he got a move back to his boyhood club and that it was going well. Oh well. Stupid boy.

If only he had been on his bike from the England team for the last decade or so!

If only he had been on his bike from the England team for the last decade or so! Can't agree with that Reg. Despite the presence of other supposed 'world class' players, like Gerrard and Lampard, he was the only one who actually did it for England. He did it at every level; Prem, Europe, international. The records don't lie. No argument at club level, but international level? Some of the problem being, he was always chosen by the incumbent manager whether he was playing well or not. I think if he had some competition for his place and was dropped occasionally, he would have put in a better shift! Since his international career started, England have looked more like going out of any competition in the first round rather than winning it! Having the premiership ninety percent full of foreign players doesn't help of course. Icing on the cake being beaten by Iceland (population eleven) of course! Hours later he was seen having a great time and not giving a shit. I would have been back on the training ground saying to my self ' why am I so crap.'

The records don't lie. That's as I see it, as well. He's let himself down as he set the bar high with his performances over a successful career. It's a shame. You don't fluke being our nation's highest ever scorer, Man Utd's highest and the Premier League's second highest. It takes hard work and considerable talent.

I would imagine, that the main reason Rooney is England's top scorer, is because he has scored a shed load against San Marino and the ilk! Team's that if we don't score double figures against them we get pissed off! Team's that the likes of Charlton and Hurst probably never heard of, let alone played against! And on top of that he likes very, very old prostitutes...pah!
