Here we go. Dorel only had to catch that. Why he punched it to their forward, only he will know.

NINE points (10 if you include the GD) adrift at the moment...

Not good enough draws will see us slip further behind the pack. Brave effort Dowling nearly lost us the single point. No proper front man as per usual and we cant score in open play. Nothings changed.

We were the better side, but Dowling stupidity and Dorel howler soon after cost us dearly.

Certainly feels like we gifted them that point. First Dowling, then Dorel straight after - it felt like slow-mo knowing he would punch it into his crowded area and he managed to find their player perfectly.
Held on well at the end. Fair play to Efete, who looked like a fish out of water at wing back, but his effort stayed til the last. Some set pieces we have been working on, to put it politely, need a bit more work. Good effort by Reid throughout, Gosling looked fresh and raring to go, which was good to see given Dowling getting himself suspended.
Dorel 3 (Daft. Yeah, it was wet, but his punching was poor and gifted them the goal) Efete 4.5 (battler. No wing back, but tried hard to be) Davey 4.5 (shaky) McGinty 7 (solid captain marvel) Andrésson 6.5 (looked decent) Davis 7 (defended and attacked well) Lathrope 6 (Alright. Not great. Key to not losing, though) Young 6 (Ok. Tested the keeper a couple of times) Dowling 3 (stupid boy) Reid 7.5 (our best player) Keating 6 (bags of effort, and won the penalty. No real quality to him)

I have no idea why Higgins wasn't in the squad - a natural wing back and no worse than B- Bob - would bring him in for the next game and push Efete into the middle in place of Dowling. Has the engine and would add something in the middle. With no goal scorer were doomed - Gnabayou isn't fancied either by the look of it.

I don’t think he will pick Higgins in a month of Sunday’s, tbh. Didn’t even make the bench today. Owers doesn’t rate him. It’s a real shame, as that back three of Efete on the right, Davey centre and McGinty left was our best back three in this formation.

I agree Florida, 3 straight wins wouldn´t even get us out of the relegation zone and I can´t see that happening anyhow. When you consider the funds dear TB put into the club its just unbelievable that we are in this position.

No proper front man as per usual and we cant score in open play. Owers has known that from day one. What worries me is who he will bring in as (IMO) the players he has bought in (Murphy, Jazzie and the new French striker etc.) have not cut the mustard. 3 points out of the next two games and we have a slim chance of staying up. 6 points out of the next two games and we have a fair chance of staying up. Anything less and I'll be prgramming the sat nav for Weston, Bath and Truro.

Very disappointing - but good to see that the club will ban the offender. Only an absolute bigot would try to tar the entire population of a county as racist through the stupidity of one individual. There are not many such bigots around nowadays - but unfortunately there are still a few about.

Scenario number three is favorite Phil. To be honest I'm past raising any hopes for a decent run of form and almost resigned to what looks to be the inevitable conclusion come May. We really are this seasons York City.
To be fair Gnabouyou hasn't had much game time - has he started yet? As for Murphy I didn't think he's bad player at all but just not the type of front man we need. Barnum Bob did ok but no better than Higgins, always committed, who for some unknown reason cant even make the bench. So BB who I thought was a strange signing at the time has indeed been a wasted signing. Unless Owers can introduce some genuine physicality to the front line, a forward who can hold the ball up then the outcome is predictable no matter how well motivated or how much fitter they all are. In my opinion its not necessarily a goal scorer we need its a player who can create space for others, the likes of Reid, Gnabouyou, Pitman etc. Murphy simply wasn't able to do that and did t complement what we already have.
