Not been that impressed since his return to the fold. Against Fylde looked decidedly average.

As it s turned out the resigning of Brett has been a huge failure. Has looked poor in his target ma role and has failed to hit the net this season and struggled on his return last season. Hes not a target man that's for certain hes just not physical enough for the role. Interesting to see how many thought he would become a regular scorer even I had him down to bag a few.

Think it's a bit early to call the re-signing of Williams a failure. He could still turn it round once he gets his first goal, but yes, so far he has been underwhelming.

I still believe Williams has goals in him, but only in the right formation. At present he is being played as the lone/hold them up type striker which doesn't play to his strengths. A Matt Rhead type player is what I believe is required.

Spot on Phil If we had Matt Rhead, a proper target man we would be way ahead in this division. Been crying out for that type of player for a number of seasons. All of our strikers would benefit from a player of his type and ability, none are genuine hold up target men.
"Matt Rhead types" are like hens teeth apparently.

I remember Jim Fryatt and Tony Scott up front, how many did they bang in in a season?

I remember Jim Fryatt and Tony Scott up front, how many did they bang in in a season? Four (two each in 1967/68). Strange season, as we finished fourth in the old Division 3, with Stubbsy leading scorer with only 9.

Ryan Brunt scores two today for Bath, more goals (I think) than we've scored all season.
