After Saturdays defeat we are now 10 points from safety with just 10 games to go (12 for Barrow) and while I knew we were very likely to go down back in January it is now quite clear that even making some form of challenge to stay in this league is now all but gone. There does not seem to be any fight left in the players and really we are at the stage where we just counting down the games until relegation is official.
Likely to lose this game but we shall see....

A window of opportunity provided by our win at Brisbane Road ? A wholehearted performance, crowned by those all important 3 points will hopefully have done a lot for morale. It also underlines how crucial the result this coming Saturday at Solihull could be for both clubs. The table indicates we've most likely still got our work cut out, but it would be great if we can really make a fight of it. Guiseley adrift at the bottom with a shocking goal difference look to be as good as down. Community owned Chester are the only club to have raised the white flag and accepted relegation. That still means we need to get ahead of another 2 teams if we're to avoid the drop ourselves. Will Hartlepool avoid Administration and a points deduction ? A bit of fixture congestion for Barrow perhaps ? We'll have to take anything that's going, and grasp at any straw within reach. It's not over until it's over

Great win but soooooooooooo frustrating that it wasn't on the back of (minimum) two draws against Sutton and Maidstone which would left us 4 (+1) points off Barrow.

Great result. A glimmer of hope or prolonging the agony?
