link - CO reported in the Herald Express today about a 3 month consultation period for the new stadium with the morsel of a safe standing area to be incorporated.
To a large extent CO is putting the cart before the horse as the land is owned by the council and funding is to provided by more land provided by the council with permission to build upon which has not even been discussed with the council let alone agreed. Also substantial contamination and structural issues to overcome for a vastly complicated project for which I would have little or no confidence in CO being able to handle based on previous “development opportunities” that he has dealt with. I can see another Swindon with new housing being built but with endless delays for the stadium due to a host of “unforeseen issues” being encountered.
