It reminds me of the time when I actually lived in Torquay, with shops selling a load of tack outside their doors. Rubber rings, those windmilly things and crap shirts. Normally new shirts are shown being modelled by the players, but none of them would do it I guess. Even the pictures show the shirts being held at arms length on a pole! There is a good side though…the awful (huge) 1890 something has been consigned to the bin! 🙏 Season unfolding well it seems. 🫣

Interesting shirt sponsorship with South Devon College and the Torbay Story-club clearly keen to work closely with key local agencies.
As or the shirts themselves-certainly different: the recent ones had got a bit "samey". May warm to them eventually, but first impressions not great.
Away colours work better with the design chosen.

Or more likely we couldn't get a decent commercial sponsor now we are in regional football again. As for the design, a dog's breakfast. Never liked yellow & stripes which don't go together in my opinion and I would suspect this was the nearest thing Puma had in yellow & white stripes. The away kit is slightly better ( or should that be slightly less worse) looks a bit like Argentina through cataract lenses. |
