Must admit I can't quite work this one out and I can't imagine that even the most optimistic of us could have predicted that sort of figure even for a bank holiday fixture. Its clear to me that the entertainment levels and a dynamic free scoring team has suddenly captured the imagination of the TUFC exiles that have drifted away in recent seasons. My guess is that that many will return and though I doubt we will see 3800 again this Saturday I reckon with the entertainment on show we will get another bumper crowd. An absolutist treat to see so many in the ground again and the football on show (some of the intensity and purpose of our play reminded me a lot of the teams I fell in love with of the mid sixties) thoroughly deserves this level of support.

I think there are quite a few factors in play apart from the steady increase of fans turning up at Plainmoor as we continue to win matches week in and week out. In addition to the bank holiday factor, the weather was quite mild, we had a run of 5 away games in six and I think some Plymouth fans were there and could be again! Hope it will be 3000+ On Saturday link
