With all the money sloshing around in the premiership it really is a cut throat business and it seems the chance of automatic promotion has passed meaning the club has to take decisive action.
I would say that Darren has done his future managerial prospects no harm going forward as fourth in the Championship is no mean feat but not enough for the pressure cooker he finds himself in.

I fully expect Middlesbrough to now sack their manager, after all they have exactly the same record as WBA over the past 5 games, and they lost at home today. Tony Pulis also has to go, surely? Aren't those the rules..... ...in which case Pulis will probably go back to West Brom and Darren Moore take over at Middlesbrough.
