Great news. And Register has already done the maths and calculated that Chairman Clarke on average makes more money available to his Manager every 2 days, than some past Chairman have managed in a whole year. But again it needs emphasising that Chairman Clarke's ambition, forward thinking, and strong desire to see a successful TUFC will need to be backed up by supporters. When the forces of negativity attempt to strike back, as they surely will, our resolute support for our Chairman and our club must be unflinching.
Great to have young Jake back on a more permanent basis, and can't wait to see him in the smart new kit.

link - this is fantastic news with Jake third on the goals/assists table last year behind our 2 strikers with 26 and compare that say with Lemonheigh-Evans with 20 having played an extra game. Offers that flexibility in midfield able to play on the left or in the centre.

Very pleased with this signing. Gary Johnson knows Jake and his temperament well and will improve him further. Come back fitter and stronger, Jake, and your quest to play in the Football League will get ever closer. As Rob says, he can play on the left or down the middle and a cracking number of goals and assists last season.

I thought it was Clarky in front of me in the bank the other day, taking out a large loan...his love for our club must be boundless! 😇
What is all this pre-contract nonsense...does that mean somebody could still snaffle (our) Jake? 😠

link - feedback from Johnson on Jake’s signing. Looks like the next incoming will be loan signings and would bet on Edwards and Baldwin or possibly Cundy which would give a small but well rounded and competitive squad.

Quite agree on the likely loan signings, either or all of whom would complement our squad well. Have read elsewhere that our physio has just joined Gareth Law at Exeter City, so hope we can get that post filled ahead of pre-season, particularly if we are going to start with a small squad again.

link - Devon live reporting of the story. Seems Jake wanted to come back here as opposed to sign for another year with Bristol but he had to wait some time for the clubs to agree terms. With father and son at the helm of both clubs not a problem that immediately springs to mind but the article makes reference that any transfer fee and selling on clause was not disclosed although I suspect that the former is more likely. So with less than a week to go before pre season training Johnson has now assembled the bulk of the squad which will be bolstered by loan signings possibly right at the start of the campaign. Not too many surprises in the 4 new signings. Two have played for Johnson before, Little possibly was one of the stand out players playing against us last season with just Covolan off fan’s radar but even he had trained with the squad for a month around last Christmas time with the common thread being Johnson knows what each of them is about. You can argue that we now have direct replacements for the loan signings of Bass, Lemonheigh-Evans, Janneh and Andrews.

Thanks for that! 16/1...mmmmmm! A sense of deja vue eh Reg...lol What is wrong with these bloody bookies! Signed into Betvictor, tried to put a monkey on (tired of carrying it around) at 16/1, they immediately dropped the price to 12/1, and said the maximum I could put on was a pony! Tell you what though...there are some bloody good teams in the NL!

Looking around, it seems we are the most backed team in the NL!
