link - looks like Johnson is up for this relatively short trip. Only 2 weeks to the season proper now and one more week of PSFs as the squad builds up to that all important start. What has been particularly pleasing is the cohesiveness of the team which has taken from NLS the habit of winning and scoring heavily against the opposition. I suppose some questions for this game are will Vincent play at left back again? Is Buse still with the team. Will Covolan be fit enough to play? And how many will we win by 😉

An enjoyable afternoon out to see another win but this was more scrappy as we played much weaker teams in both halves particularly in the second as we were over run in midfield for much of it, inviting a lot more pressure and were lucky with Tiverton hitting the woodwork twice.
We started with 7 full time professionals with Vincent again filling in at left back and Slough in central defence, Evans on the left wing, Buse in central midfield with Little and trialist A up front with Koszela. It was a good performance again from Little in midfield which meant that Tivvy has relatively few chances with the best one just before our penalty that was well saved by MacDonald.
A minute later and Koszela was able to rob their defender and while his shot was well saved the follow up Torquay player was adjudged to have been fouled and a penalty awarded. Cue Little who shot very confidently and with little fuss straight into the top corner giving their keeper no chance. After the goal we seemed to dominate more but could not add to our total before the half term whistle blown at 15:44!
The second half saw us begin with just 4 full time professionals with MacDonald, Hall at centre half and Keating and Kalala on the wings. When Kalala did get the ball he was a delight to watch and gave their competent left back a run around on occasions. However, Tivvy had a firmer grip on midfield and hit the post after a free flowing counter attack down the left wing and the bar after a free header inside the 6 yard box when it looked easier to score! Finally Reid and Duku came on to relieve a bit of pressure late on with Keating in centre midfield.
Andrews was watching but not playing and may have been resting a knock?
