I didn’t play that song Pete because of the utmost importance I place on the views of my fellow posters. Also, after a little Google (I know, I promised I’d stop) I noticed that there was a bit of a communication breakdown between my fellow posters and myself. My fellow posters were referring to a different WHO...ie to a small shop on Weenow St called Whu-Han Optics. Whilst I was referring to the World Health Organisation, or as their better known...Whoever’s the Highest Offer. There has not been a more corrupt organisation on this planet since the three Olaf brothers (Wheatear, Squinting and Smellyarse) tried to work out the combination of their sisters Chastity belt, way back in 837! Who was the last person who was in charge of the WHO, Brutus Brutus Brutus Galaxy or some bloody thing...and he was as bent as a Nine Bob Note! Strangely enough, so is the present one, because if you look closely at the picture of him and the Chinese guy, with one hand he’s shaking hands, and with tother, he’s shoving a rather fat cheque into his back pocket! Now we come to the crux of the matter: How can my WHO continually get away with corruption on an almost Biblical level...well I’ll tell you. It’s because people don’t want to hear that they’re a corrupt load of Bastards...it’s because people don’t want to talk about the fact that they’re a corrupt load of Bastards...it’s because people don’t want to see that they’re a corrupt load of Bastards. Too late to scroll now Setefano...🤘 Would you like some tin foil? Im curious are you objecting to the mutation of a virus or that it is a mutation from China?

I’m not objecting to any virus, any mutation or any country.
What I am doing it seems, is banging my head against a brick wall. 🤕

Nothing new in that news is there? I expect scientists to tell it how it is, rather than any drivel coming out of the mouths of Johnson, Patel and Hancock which may at times correlate and at others not, tbh.

Of course, one’s a drug and another is a vaccine so comparing apples and pears. It was released in 1957 when safety standards are worlds away from where we are now. Nothing is risk free in life but I have seen first hand what Covid can do to very fit people.

Absolutely right rjd thalidomide is of no relevance whatsoever to the covid vaccine discussions. In the 1950's it was widely believed that drugs taken by a pregnant woman could not pass to the child. Science has developed a long way since then. Although it is believed that the covid vaccine is safe for a pregnant woman to have they have been told not to so as to err on the side of caution unless they are at very high risk. Thalidomide is still available as a drug but not to pregnant women. Like banging your head against a wall really! 😉

This morning I happened on this - Dr John Campbell - you may be familiar with his stuff - it's a good review anyway IMO. I don't watch him normally, but it appeared unasked after a particularly depressing report on Sky News this morning from 'The Royal Free Hospital' in London. The vaccine 'roll out' is going well but with supply limitations here and there, it's going to be a very long battle, remembering that say 5 million people dosed is a 3.7% completion of whole target, (not 7.4%), being only one dose of two needed. And the 'disinfectant' factor, i.e. transmissibility, is as yet largely unknown. I hope the Govt. continues down it's 'border control' path - the initial efforts were frankly risible, (but better than nothing), as Folks happily paid the GBP 500 fine and carried on to deliver any new variants they'd acquired while abroad. Compulsory quarantine in Airport Hotels for 10/14 days is the only answer until vaccine certificates plus negative test certificates (24 hours) are established as a condition to travel. Which brings me to another point - whilst the WHO and all of us have real concerns about vaccinating all poorer Nations around the World too, surely, to achieve control anywhere at all and Worldwide, the virus and it's mutations have to be conquered Country by Country with ongoing tough border controls. Having partial vaccination levels around the World and ongoing cross spreading via international travel just won't solve the problem. AIMHO.
