Billy Waters player of the year at Cheltenham in 2017...form seems to have dipped a bit since. GJ obviously knows him well and clearly reckons he can do well for us. Looks like a good addition.

I would say so. Johnson showed with Reid that he knows how to get the best out of a certain type of player and they will both know what needs to be done in this side.

In terms of Waters (from a friend and CTFC follower) ...... he was a real fans favourite, a lot of people disgruntled when he went to N'hampton. A short player but makes up for that with constant running and getting in good positions. He may take a few games before you see the best of him. I would say a really good signing for you! If he gets the service will score goals for you.

Thanks rjdgull...any news on Nelson? Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Nelson died at Trafalgar. He was rubbish at throw-ins anyway.

think Waters joining us meant Britton would have less opportunity. link - Britton very quickly recycled to Stockport on loan courtesy of a very good 11 minute sub appearance against them in the first game this season. Shows how Johnson wanted his man Waters over him although better to have your own player who won’t be recalled and able to fit into the side straight away. We now have four decent strikers at the club plus Koszela still learning his trade out on loan. It has been a few years since we have had 4 players out on loan. I think the loanees we have got, Sherring and Randell, their deals expire after tomorrow

link - Plymouth manager – Ryan Lowe, gives his thoughts on Randell’s loan extension and how pleased he is with how it is working out. Worth noting that Randell gave a good account of himself in league 2 last season so as he matures you can see why he is making such a good impact in the National League this year.

Randell and Sherring obviously both destined for higher leagues. .great move by GJ to get them to Plainmoor. The longer they stay the better.

Great news but just as important how we have cemented such good inter club relations with Bournmouth, Argyle and Bristol City in particular. Just shows how vital it is to have a manager who has brilliant contacts that's and is well respected.

In amongst the Crawley preview by Dave Thomas confirmation that both Kerr and Waters are fit and Nelson is now close to being available - linkNot sure what the impact of the lockdown will have on availability of those out on loan below elite level but suspect they will continue to train with us and resume their loan spells when able and in practice are unlikely to get near the match day squad. Right now Johnson has 18 senior players available which nicely picks the FA Cup squad for tomorrow. Just Nelson and Davis in the treatment room. Keepers - Macdonald. Covalan Defenders - Wynter. Davis. (Long term injured) Cameron. Slough(on loan to Dorchester) Price, (injured?) Warren, Kerr, Moxey, Sherring. (Loan until 10:01/21) Midfielders- Whitfield. Hall Nemane, Buse, (Out on loan) Andrews and Little, CLE, Evans,(on loan to Buckland) Randell (Loan until 10/01/21) Strikers - Koszela(on loan to Dorchester), Wright, Nelson (Close to fitness) Umerah, Waters
