If new Aberdeen manager young Ally Ferguson doesn't rate Steve Ritchie, I can't see him lasting long in the management game. A left footer, but his most famous moment was produced with his right in the 78 Cup Final against Rangers. I expect young Ally thought that piece of genius was a miskick. Steve was right to choose the vastly superior coaching of Green and Rudge.
Terrible to hear of Bournemouth fans intimidating John Benson's family. He would be better off out of it and reuniting with his old Torquay mate Bondy. Replaced by the most famous ever manager called Alec (not Ally). His unique "public school / military precision" would not be quite so unique when copied by Ron Manager, isn't it? Marvelous.
