Did anyone else watch `The Big Match Revisited` today?
Spurs v Newcastle in December 1974.
Cyril having a very good game and also the studio guest.

A good selection of matches. Felt sorry for the rookie Newcastle keeper, but Cyril was on top form. He was also very modest in his reply when Brian Moore mentioned that some were tipping him for an England call up. Alan Hudson and Jimmy Greenhoff running the show for Stoke, and the most exciting game of the lot, Sheffield Wednesday v Man Utd. A real pleasure to see Cyril performing well on the pitch as well as in the TV studio.

Cyril didn't have a bad match last night either, it was nice to see his name lives on with a stand at Hartlepool dedicated to his memory.
P.s. I seem to recall that while he was our manager he nearly missed a match as he was hospitalised having swallowed a fish bone which lodged in his oesophagus!
