Points per game table

Will be interesting to compare that to the final table. I think teams like Solihull will struggle having only played eleven league games so far and maybe those sides with larger squads will fare better in the final analysis. Looking bloody good for us but again six players out today so a worry and either need bodies back or new blood in.

I would be amazed if we managed anywhere near 104 points.
Possible but highly unlikely we are bound to have a blip or two just as some those teams who are struggling will have good runs of form.
Its par for the course but we are way ahead of schedule, have a great points advantage but are also there to be shot at.

I still have haunting memories of my first season supporting the club 1967/68 where we looked to be in control to gain our first ever promotion to the second tier.
Beating Bury at home 3-0 in mid March in front of the MOTD cameras and 10,000 plus fans. We eventually slumped to 4th place winning only twice in our final ten games while Bury went up as runners up to Oxford Utd.

Both the club and supporters must be prepared for any dip in form and work together to push on again if we need to.
This entire squad, under one of the best managers we've ever had at the club, who are putting so much into this campaign deserve all the "positive" support they get.

Without doubt every single club in the division would surely love to swap places with us.

I think we have all extrapolated promotion countless times only to see us fall at the last hurdle. The Ling season possibly being the last time? However, with Johnson we have a manager that has been there and done it before which gives hope that we have got a good chance of going on and doing just that. Still plenty of work to do, with 28 to play, average of 2 points per game would see us with 94 and probably champions, 1.75 per game would be 87 which might be enough.... Important month is January, games against Solihull, Sutton and Notts are real game changers. We could end up back in the thick of it, maintain our lead or be out of sight?

Still think that’s the intensity of games will make it difficult for other teams to go on a similar run that we started the season with which was nothing short of extraordinary. Clubs like Solihull are fully five games behind us and are now at a disadvantage having to play catch up. It is worth keeping an eye on the points per game as the Premier League are looking at voting on whether 2/3 of 3/4 of games played would be enough to decide the season if they run out of time. At our level that equates to 30 or 33 games played so want to get this point ASAP and also ahead of everyone else on a PPG basis just in case......
