Streaming services - what do think so far?

I feel the first thing to realise is that streaming is not part of a binary choice. It is not a case of subscribe to TUFC streaming or subscribe to some other football platform. In normal times you can choose either to be an armchair spectator or a match going fan. In that circumstance the telly coverage has to offer something that attendance at a live match cannot and that is all the technical wizardry that Pete mentioned in his above post.
Streaming as we have it now is intended to replace being there in the flesh because we cannot be there in the flesh. When you are at the match you get a fixed view point with no replays of goals or dodgy offside decisions, or commentators telling you what you just saw with your own eyes. Therefore all I ask of a streaming service is just follow the action on the pitch as a live spectator would follow it with his own eyes from the stands.
There is no need to pander to people who compare this product to Sky/BT Sports because the people buying it are doing so because they want to watch Torquay United not because they have to be persuaded to take out a subscription for a pay per view product which is going to show a lot games between teams that the customer isn't going to be interested in anyway.
Keep it basic and simple, that is all it needs to be. It's fine as it is.

I didn't mean to criticise action replays, what I meant was the basic requirement is to show the game as a live spectator might see it and our streaming service is just fine. I suppose I was reacting to something said on the kiddies when the service first went live where people were complaining there was no "content". Why do you need content? You don't get content when attending a game, so why expect it from a product which raison d'etre is to compensate for not being able to be there.
At least the club didn't invest in 'automatic ball tracking' technology, unless there are those who like to follow the spare ball during the game.

Reckon our online service is pretty good compared to many especially the clubs who employ "auto ball tracking" which is far from ideal and frustrating to watch at times. Watchable and better than nothing so not complaining to much from a TUFC point of view but Yeovil fans and others will be hoping the clubs listen to their frustrations.
I guess we all thought this would be just for a dozen or so games and we would all be back to watching live by now but its pretty open ended it may be time for one or two clubs to look at the quality of service.
My only gripe is the zooming in to close to the play and the inevitable slow reactions of the cam operator. No problem with just the one camera at all and having done a little camera video of local amateur games many moons ago I soon realised how difficult it was to maintain concentration for long periods and to leave the bloody zoom alone as much as possible.

The next question I believe will possibly crop up is whether we can still provide a service when things get back to normal, whatever that may mean. No doubt exiled Gulls around the country and the world who have benefited greatly will hope so.
BT Sport will hold the cards in that respect and although not knowing the viewing figures it is surely another possible future income stream that could be financial lifeline for smaller clubs. It may not be practical or possible of course as these are exceptional circumstances but I feel the question should be asked.

link - update on live streaming which comes down to many games are blocked under UEFA rules and others are prevented by the BT agreement but negotiations are ongoing. Seem to recall the BT deal being extended last season and does not reflect well on the National League that the impact of live streaming was not discussed at this time.

As TUST SLO, having communicated with the club, resulting in their statement earlier this week, setting out the streaming situation, I contacted the National League and have received this reply from their Media and Operations Officer:

'We are liaising with our partners over whether adjustments can be made to commercial contracts to enable streaming to take place in the future in some capacity.'

Maybe there's a glimmer of hope.
