link - streaming being considered at our level. Article 48 is referred to, but not what Article 48 is of and what Article 48 is? But this is a welcome development.

UEFA Article 48 is the "black-out rule" when you can't televise live football matches between 2.45pm and 5.15pm on Saturdays. You can at other times which is why EFL clubs live stream at other times. The current National League contract with BT Sport prohibits live streaming at any time.

At last some movement torquayunited.com/national-league-board-issue-streaming-update/Thanks to Nick B of TUST for persistent lobbying on this. Unbelievable how slow the National League has been on this. Streaming worked brilliantly during Covid lockdown and you would have thought the league would have done all it could to let that continue seamlessly. But instead they have thrown away a season and a half of revenue. How long will it take them to dot the is and cross the ts? Will the solution be anywhere near as good as what we had in 2020/21 - in terms of quality, ease of use and income earned for clubs. I doubt it somehow. JFDI.

Really pleased about this and thanks also to those at TUST for their constant lobbying on the matter on behalf of exiled, vulnerable and ‘can’t make it to that one’ fans alike. Much appreciated by me and of benefit to all.

If the National League pulled their finger out, all games could be streamed during the World Cup. Odds are they will mess about long enough to miss a golden opportunity.

I'm afraid I agree with those in the comments section who say this is bias towards the big clubs, with 60% of the money being allocated to the subscribers club rather than the home club who actually pay to hold the match.

I guess this would particularly unfair if it was the club themselves setting up the streaming and broadcasting in the way they did during COVID, however, if the NL themselves are the ones broadcasting and setting up the infrastructure for this and then distributing the money, then I have less of a problem with. I assume they would have to cover the costs of the home club but then once they’ve done that then I guess it’s the same as BT, where both clubs will receive a fee. It does however, mean that clubs - and big clubs in particular - it will be in the interests of the club if their fans stay at home and watch so they receive some income from an away game when they wouldn’t do otherwise. Certainly makes it a more attractive proposition to save yourself a fortune and time to watch from home knowing your club will receive some money rather than nothing they get if you turn up in person.

I had kind of assumed I’d be able to watch the streaming service for NYD game.
Our match is among the games listed as being streamed and it is not a Saturday at 3pm which the Vanarama page states are the times games cannot be streamed. However, on packages page, it says “no packages available in your country” so not sure why this is. Is this just me or does anyone else see the same thing? And if so, any idea why the package wouldn’t be available?

The package is a half season ticket for all games, and only available outside the UK as I understand it (although VPN services do seem to get around this if you are exiled but in UK like me). Every other non-3pm game is streamed in the UK, so you can buy these individually, starting with Sunday's game.

It is now showing as available to buy but (on my device at least) until yesterday it was showing as unavailable in this country but I will probably tune in although I suspect I’ll regret it 😂

I streamed the boxing day game without any problems or issues and the quality was on a par with that over Covid.
